So Sweet
This books literally gave me all the feels, and it keeps you guessing until the end about whether they'll end up together or not. I have such a soft spot for stories about older men in BL stories and this hit the spot in so many different ways. I actually think I like THIS story more than the first one. 10/10 would absolutely recommend you add this to your shelves.

Interesting read
I really enjoyed this manga and I love the fact that is older couple who find love together it is very cute and I love the theme and the end. I also love how this the story stems from the fact that these are older men and their conflicts stems from the fact that being gay Is viewed different in olden times. I would love to see more LGBT financing in general shpwing older couples too.

Cute if you read the other story.
It's actually nice little start up of what happened beforehand on the other story, which is nice. But it would be better to read the other one first because this is like a prelude AND a sequel at the same time.

Sad, yet heartwarming
If you haven't already, I highly recommend you read Don't Call Me Dirty first, however, it isn't necessary and doesn't inherently affect either books either way, but both are very good. It's hard to find a good romance between two older characters, not to mention a really good plot that led up to a great ending. It was teased slightly in Don't Call Me Dirty that these two had something going on, but it was much sweeter than I expected.

A Fabulous Sequel
This BL Manga is the sequel to "Don't Call Me Dirty", one of my favorite reads from last year. This one did not disappoint. It follows the father of the main character from the aforementioned manga, and how he tries to find love. It's super adorable, and made me cry. I highly recommend it. Rated for readers 16 and up.

...But do call me your Family
I adore this manga and its prequel. I do think they are better if read together, this one really relies on Don't Call Me Dirty to set the scene of the village where the story takes place. Why not get both? That being said, what a lovely story about the meaning of family and love! While Dirty focused more on social homophobia and the external pressures on young gay people, Daddy focuses more on internalized homophobia and the effect that can have on someone even if they are surrounded by love and acceptance. This time, we focus on Hanao Kaji and the deep connection he once shared with Shouji Mita's father. This is a more introspective story following an older man who has spent most of his life in denial of his sexual orientation and his love for his best friend. It's sadder and more serious than Dirty, the first chapter made me tear up. I think Hanao's situation is one that a lot of older LGBT people have experienced. Never thought I'd find myself saying that about a BL manga, haha.If I had to pick the low points, I would say the thirsty doctor was a bit extra. Also, Dirty's pacing was more digestible. I think this is probably due to the author's focus on realism, but this one ends up having a few timeskips. They don't hurt the story, they make sense, but it does make the reading experience a bit less smooth. But even if the story is perhaps not as well crafted as the work it spun off from, I found it to be a very satisfying read. I both liked Hanao and found his mindset frustrating, and I was very pleased with the conclusion. Also, Daddy Mita continues to be an actual angel. This has a sweet LGBT-positive story, lovable characters, lovely art, and a well-done translation. What more do you need from a BL? If you liked Don't Call Me Dirty, don't miss out on this one!

In English:This manga is the second part of a dilogy, but can also be read independently. I liked the first part and especially its protagonist Shouji, which is why I wanted to know the story of his father Mita, which is told here.Mita has to raise his son Shouji alone, but receives support from his friend Hanao. Hanao feels far more than friendship for Mita, but does not dare to tell anyone. After an event that deeply unsettled Hanao, he decided to leave Mita and Shouji - and did not return until 20 years later ...Overall, I found this part a little weaker. I liked the characters and understood Hanao's insecurity well, but while some scenes seemed too rushed and choppy, others felt too drawn out. The ending was also a bit too dramatic and short for me. I would have liked it better if it had gotten a little more emotional, also with Shouji's support, who missed out a bit for his role in the story. Therefore I give 3.5 stars.
