This attractive Black base easily fills with water, adding all the support a Patio umbrella need. No table required! Wide bottom provides greater stability than typical bases. Long pole receptacle can accommodate umbrella poles that have 1” (25mm), 1. 5” (38mm), or 2” (50mm) diameter. The base weighs approximately 6 lbs. when Empty - much lighter than similar units on the market, making it easier and less expensive to ship. When filled with water, however, it weighs up to 47 lbs., to secure Patio umbrellas against light winds!

Well made, stable
This umbrella stand works well with a 7 ft umbrella. It is quite stable. I bought it because I have trouble moving heavy weights. The empty stand is only about 5 lb. It was easy to fill. It's a bit tricky to empty completely, this part of the design could use some improvement.

Good value, but missing cap
Good value. Has two screws to tighten down umbrella. Missing the cap to keep water from seeping in. Wasn’t in the package.

Missing part.
Stand arrived missing the tube to hold the umbrella, making it useless. Stromberg has not replied to my request to ship one.

Received the Wrong Umbrella Base
I can't speak to the merits of the base in the description, because the one I received was ENORMOUS! I have been searching for a 15-16" base to fit under a bistro-sized table and hoped this would work. Sadly, I will never know. At least there were free returns!

This is so sturdy! And having the two screws to hold it in is fantastic. Our doesn’t move much at all! Great products!

Expensive for just fair quality
Bottom screw hole and pole screw not threaded well. Had to force it in which cross threaded it. Will not be able to take out & replace if I ever needed too.The plastic fill hole knob doesn’t screw into the base well either. No leaks....

Big piece of plactic
I am very disappointed in the this I paid $65.00 for a big piece of plastic. No clear instructions on how to put it together.
