Like a renewal of my art attitude and mood!
Rick, I have been painting with acrylic pours for a few years, and was growing tired of them, to be honest. Your book just gave me a thousand ideas as to what I can do with those they are laying around my studio, and it's like you were hearing my thoughts. I was going to try a different technique as far as abstract painting, but I like your ideas much better. 5 stars my man!!!

Sharp Little Book Packed with Ideas
I am probably not impartial when it comes to this author. I've watched his YouTube demonstrations, taken his class on udemy.com, and also bought his other book from Amazon. This little book is packed with great multi media ideas to use on previously poured backgrounds. Mr. Cheadle doesn't waste space; he gets right to it with the materials and techniques used. I appreciate how he shares his years of experimentation saving me from costly mistakes. I will open this book frequently and will especially use his color combinations.

Great book for mixed media art using existing paint pours as the base.
I'm impressed with the amount of detail regarding the tools used. I like that pictures of the various media are included. It really helps to be able to locate the correct product for purchase.I really liked the sections on Supplies and Tools. It has very detailed information on each type of product and examples of different patterns and ways to use each. I especially like the chapter on Color Basics. It's always useful to get a refresher about the color wheel. The main reason for a 4 star rating instead of a 5 is that the grammar and spelling errors are distracting, and make it necessary to sometimes reread to get the correct meaning.Overall a very useful tool on what can be done with fluid art that didn't quite come out the way one wanted.I definitely recommend this book to artists looking for additional inspiration to create and improve their art.

Full of inspiration and techniques
I’ve been a fan of Rick Cheadle’s work for some time. This book breaks down his techniques in an easy to follow way, providing step by step instructions (with photos of every step). He also provides photos and samples of the various mediums and utensils. As one who has needed to make over many of my fluid paintings, this book is a great resource and inspiration. Even if you aren’t a pour artist, you will gain ideas for your next artistic project. Highly recommend!

Book tells how to COVER UP your pours
You need to know that this book is mainly about painting OVER most of your pour, to make a completely different painting. It is NOT about enhancing the pour, nor using design & composition to make the pour look its best. I returned this book because I DON'T want to COVER my pours; I want to play them up to look their best. That is NOT what this book is about. Great, catchy title tho' - it certainly got my attention!

Unsophisticated and dull
Returned for a refund. Very unsophisticated basic book, feels like something home produced on dull thick matt paper with muddled content.Unsure who aimed at. At the beginning contains lists of anything someone might use in art. Is a page of dots of the authors favourite colours. Is a lengthy glossary of terms someone might use in art. All of that might be useful for a total beginner who has had no concept of art.Other pages detail a series of "projects", small pictures of the artist art, showing a range of stages changing one picture into something totally different. The steps from one image to another are quite big, so you really have no idea how he got from A to B. The photos are dull and quite small with a lot of "white space" around. Might give some ideas to experienced artists, but does not sit right when compared to the other very basic content.I have no doubt the author is a talented artist, but this book does not hit the mark on too many levels for me.

Imagination unbound
Anyone with a desire to create work with variety, colour, sensitivity and utilising the materials available to all will enjoy this book. Demonstrations of projects and their creation by a skilled craftsman at the top of his game are easy to follow and fun to create! Worth going back to again and again.
