what is the shelf life

Well, I was bummed with the shelf life. I received my order of 12 cans today, Sept. 12, 2022. The date on the cans is for March 2023. That’s only 6 months! Not even close to the two years I was expecting!

The price just jumped from 22.50 to 36. What happened to the "Prime exclusive" price?

Was waiting on the price to drop but its September 2022 and it is still over 50 dollars, WHY !? Over 4 dollars a can and your buying in bulk , outrages. A dollar a can is a fair price if you are buying in bulk, bread is insanely cheap to produce.

What does it taste like

I loved this as a kid. It’s been around forever, I’m 63. It was more like a dessert, think of a molasses, date bread, without the dates. Almost like a gingerbread without the ginger. I haven’t seen it for at least 50 years. A pantry staple.

Does canned bread contain preservatives?

Hello this canned bread is made with natural ingredients. (cornmeal, wheat and rye flours, and molasses) You can eat out of can or heat it up even toast to eat. We like to warm it and apply some butter or sweet jams. We love this bread. Has long shelf life. And one can is plenty of bread for 2 people. We keep several cases on hand and a few times that came in very handy.
