Very runny, too sweet, not like lekvar
I loved the plum lekvar so much, I tried the apricot flavor, despite the poor reviews. However, I wish I had saved myself the trouble. The first thing I noticed was the thin, runny texture. It immediately looked unappealing. I took a small taste, and I gagged, as I was overpowered by its too-sweet taste.I love apricots - in all forms. I appreciate the tartness with a hint of sweetness. This was ruined by the cloying sweetness completely eclipsing any appreciable apricot flavor.I'm on chemo (2 kinds), and it changes so much in my body -- including my tastes and tolerance for certain foods. Sometimes, a favorite food can taste completely terrible to me, but a few days later, it may taste better to me.My husband doesn't like apricot, but I begged him to taste a small bit, to see if it was my chemo making it taste odd. He made a face and said, "It's definitely not just you!"I kept the jar in my frig for a few weeks, vowing to find a use for it, because I detest wasting food. Today, my husband and I were cleaning out the frig in prep for Thanksgiving. We both stared at the jar. It had not been touched since the day we sampled it.After a short silence, my husband said, "I will throw it out?" I agreed. Now we have closure.

Home made delight.
It has the same consitency as my grandmother's home made lekvar. Thank God I was able to find this. I am really sick of big brand overcooked thick pastes that are overly sweet and full of God knows what thickeners.Thats all you can find in stores these days. One thing on the negative side - too sweet. It takes away from the natural taste of the peach. If not for that I would be buying it once a month. Now I am only getting one once a year.

Not TRUE Lekvar
This was purchased for my 93 yr old mother who came from Hungary some 60 years ago and when I asked her how she liked it she said, "It's ok, but not true lekvar. It is thin and watery. Lekvar isn't watery like this." I didn't taste or even see it, but she is the expert. She wanted to bake kiffles (pronounced KEE-flees) but said it was too thin to use. But it was tasty she said so I'm giving it an average rating.

Hard to find item, right here.
Big jars last the longest.

Not at all a butter
This product was watery, has a weak flavor if any and useless. It ruined all my different cookie dough recipes as the liquid weakened the dough consistency. Do no waste your money
