Does not line up with on-screen of Avery template; better than alternative in any case.
Bought these because a). they are acid-free which I need for labeling historical photos; b) labels will not yellow, and presumably never "flake" off the surface. Those old enough may remember the yellowing labels that lose their stickiness as they age.The learning curve—1. The Avery template suggested by the manufacturer as compatible with these labels does NOT align in practice (printing) with these labels. Text and margins represented on the template do NOT comport on the upper edge or right margin with those on the printing. (No, it's not my printer, an HP Laserjet or my other printer, an HP Officejet (color inkjet) , both with manufacturer-made ink cartridges.)2. Laser printed text quickly flakes off these labels with the merest handling. (I would be hesitant, therefore, to mail with them printed on a laser.) The inkjet seems to flake less.3. Labels stick so hard and instantly that if you miscalculate, you will have to remove the label (with losses) and start over—reprint another page of labels. They will stick to the table or anything else you get them near, seeming to be attracted molecularly to whatever surface they get near. Hold tight to both sides and be cautious.4. Due to these issues of alignment, the super-stick that makes close positioning touchy, some number of labels are rendered unusable. Do you reprint pages to get them? aaargh.5. The 1'x4" size is baaaaarely ok for labeling the backs of 4x6 historical (reprint) photos in the "portrait" configuration—if your aim is really superb. I used my paper cutter (scissors are too tedious and taxing on the hands) to trim off the left edge of each column of labels to make placement (portrait configuration especially) easier. Do not trim both edges because you'll spend the evening trying to get them to peel off the backing. You need one edge intact for easy peeling.More waste for some these reasons—in addition to the waste that is inevitable with label making. What's good: for the ones you master, this method is easier than writing photo details (who, where, when, occasion) with a Pigma pen (the only acceptable one) on thousands of photos (hundreds copied for 15–20 members of the family).Be mindful of which side of the labels goes up in your printer(s).Suggest printing one page at a time of your labels, experimenting with your text and margins, testing the flaking issue, and practing placement. You will learn with every page.

inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
i have been using these labels for about 2 months now. i bought 3 boxes of these. i do a lot of labeling.i thought i was saving quite a bit of money, about 20 usd compared to the office depot brand. they are okay, and probably great if your using ink, we did not try them with ink. only toner. it didint want to hold the toner like the more expensive brands. and if your doing a lot of labels, you need it to hold the toner.i would buy these if i were using ink, but not toner. just my opinion. over all not a bad deal for labels.

Trouble With Padded Mailers----- Update Terrible Labels
I use these labels in an ink jet printer and they take the ink well and dry quickly. However, I have found the adhesive doesn't stick to padded mailers as well as other labels I have used. They stick better to boxes.Update to first review...... I hate these labels. The adhesive is no good. I live in California so humidity isn't terrible, padded envelopes they are pretty much unusable. I put the on the envelope before putting anything inside and rub it real good. Put the item in and immediately the edges start lifting. leave over night and they are lifted all around. boxes are not as bad but I still don't like them

Quality Labels
Feel free to buy Avery labels at 2 or 3 times the price of these for the "name." Luckily, there are lower-priced alternatives of equal quality such as these. And the greater quality you purchase, the more you save.

A hard to find size that works well for address labels.
Once again, I couldn't find this size label locally. I'm happy with the brand and these work well as address labels especially for longer surnames and city/state names and when using Zip+4The 1x4 size also allows use of larger type fonts.

Maco labels are every bit as good as Avery at a fraction of the price
I have been using Maco labels for over ten years and go through probably 30,000 labels a year with very few misfeeds. Highly recommended!

Not line up properly and bad quality for laser printer
the first few page was OK but the pages in the middle are really bad when I print with laser printer. the barcode are not readable after one or two touch.

Avoid
The barcode are unreadable due to the cheap paper that does not retain the laser/ink. Also beware that this product is non-refundable so i suggest avoiding going the cheap route.
