Space friendly
I chose this range hood because after much research I found that it fit my needs best. I was not willing to give up cabinet space in order to have a fancier hood. I also was not willing to reroute the existing ductwork.Like other reviews even though it is set up to vent outside a small amount of the air does come back thru the recirculation vents. The light is dim.The icons under the buttons are wearing off.And the hood top sticks out past the bottom of my 12" cabinets and you can see the mounting holes that I was unable tu utilise. That's okay though. I knew the measurements before I ordered it. I covered this ledge with a piece of trim that matches our countertop edging. It's held in place with a thin full length magnet. This gives the hood a finished look.Over all I am happy with this hood. It fit my needs and I'm very thankful I found it. I have been using it for 2 years now.

When you have the light on, the top of the hood gets so hot that you cannot touch it.
I like the stope hood, however when you have the light on, the top of the hood gets so hot that you cannot even touch it. I do not feel that feature is good at all. My other hood did not do that. I do not even turn on the light because it gets so hot. Not worth the value to me when this issue

GOOD VALUE BUT YOU MIGHT REGRET BUYING THIS ITEM
WHAT YOU WILL LIKE: The dual plastic blowers are fine and from the looks of the type of plastic, not loud or distracting at all and should be okay for a 5-8 year service life. A round 5-inch plastic transition fitting with a butterfly valve is included. A nice heavy duty three prong cord is hardwired into the motors. The box is well packaged to protect the product. The stainless steel is nicely finished. The light is very nice, very traditional incandescent bulbs behind a clear lens. Buttons are easily accessible and easy to understand the controls (three speeds, on/off, light). There is a rear knock-out for a rectangular exhaust. The slim profile is very attractive, see the product description for details.WHAT YOU WILL NOT LIKE: Impossible to find filters if you need a replacement. Filters let microparticulate oil leak through from cooking. THERE IS AN UNCOVERED RECIRCULATING AIR VENT THAT LEAKS INTO YOUR KITCHEN even if you select for exhaust to exterior. You'll end up having to make a cover to avoid ruining your cabinets. The 5-inch round knock-out circular exhaust out of the top is exactly 1/8 inch from the back! Your round duct will never clear the back of your cabinets! "Fix" is to move the entire unit forward away from the wall, such that when you cut your vent hole in the cabinet, it will clear the back of the cabinet. Great. Now the top of unit sticks out past the finished face frame of the wall cabinet and you will have to drill some new mounting holes PLUS seal the unused screw holes. Stupid bad engineering. Somebody is asleep at the wheel. Additionally, no manufacturer contact info is included so don't expect any sort of support.OTHER THINGS YOU MAY NOT LIKE: The useless manual. The 22 gauge steel or maybe 1/64th of an inch in thickness where the weight of the motors causes the middle to deflect downward about a 1/16 or more even if you drill holes for extra screws nearby for pulling the unit upward to the cabinet bottom. The sag is noticeable but a little bit of blue tape, clear silicone, etc. will have to do.MORE THINGS YOU MAY NOT LIKE: There is substantial leakage and some air will be exiting from the back and from the venting above the unit's light, recirculating back into your room. Ultimately, the buyer chose this item thinking it would be a higher quality item that the entry level similar vent hood that is available for around $100. Paying the $160 for this seems like a waste of money and time for what you get. Keep shopping.

Great for those small vent hood spaces above the stove.
I like that this product is not as tall as the traditional vent hood. It has 3 levels of suction and 2 lights. But we only received one light in the vent hood. It was pretty simple to install, I'm sure in kitchens not like ours it would be even easier. It helps finish off the space above our range without blocking our view of the stove top when cooking (im 6' and husband is 6'2).

EXTREMELY LOUD! Ugh.
This hood is SOOOOOO LOUD!!!! If my dad had not installed it already I would have sent it back. It’s slim, which is nice but it is entirely too loud!
