I got this book because I wanted to know more about Korean beauty skincare... the more sciencey-part. I was looking for tips and tricks on what has been used and why products are so effective.This is more of a "history" book. It talks more about different cultural reasons why Koreans are obsessed with skincare compared to Americans (and the marketing around it).It was interesting and good but not what I was looking for. If you're hoping to get this to find your own skin-care routine, look elsewhere.

This book is very well expressed about the facts of K-beauty and a good comparison among the various countries.Also, even shows good statistics in a simple graph for any readers to understand, It is easy to read but also professionally spread out from a doctors point of view to give the readers reliability. This book is released to the readers to understand the different methods of using the cosmetics and the history so that the consumers can easily approach to the products. I give it a big double thumbs up!

Business related to K beauty is a new rising area in Asia and its territory is expanding to all over the world with BTS and movie PARASITE.Interestingly Korean dermatolgy clinics in the big cities operate for treating cosmetic patients and it is not strange any more for the male patients in Korea take a cosmetic care in dermatology clinic.This book describes K beauty well from the cultutal back ground to scientific clues under the medical perspective of dermatologist.

This book not only contains the history but also provides the k beauty secret. This book is also great for students who are interested in studying K beauty in English.

This book sadly did not offer anything revealing that you can't already find online about Korean Beauty. Wish it had more filing to it and actually provide something to be helpful to an American interested in Korean Beauty skincare. I thought that is what I was paying to read about. Insider truths...where was it???I felt like I was reading someone's dryly worded college research paper, all things you can Google online, then a book that revealed insider truths.

It is wonderful to read a skin care book written my a female and a Korean native. Wow! She gives you the truth!
