German Aircraft Landing Gear: A Detailed Study of German World War II Combat Aircraft

Thanks for a thorough book on WWII landing gear. I really appreciated this copy.

I have an equally strange hobby - I make near exact scale working landing gear and retracts for small R/C aircraft. This book is a great resource, including planes and gear I hardly knew anything about. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the some of the information I need for some of the more common WWII German aircraft. Interesting reading, but as a design guide, I wish it had a bit more drawing content (vs. pictures).

I had the chance opportunity to meet the author, and what and author, the book covers everything indepth and beyond, this gives a unique perspective of the german side of aircraft and their engineering mind set. remarkable book for those into techno reading.

Great book, too bad there is not a similar book on American Aircraft Landing Gear.

Correct size of main Luftwaffe aircraft covered and very useful for modeling.

Very good book for those that are interested in Luftwaffe aircraft. Contains a healthy amount of landing gear drawings of various Luftwaffe aircraft. Recommended

Haben Sie Spaß daran Mechaniken zu erkennen? Abhängigkeiten von Hebel, Lenkern, Zylindern und Spindeln?Dann ist dieses Buch ideal. Dass es auf Englisch ist ist wenig dramatisch. Viele Zeichnungen mit Ihrer Stückliste sind direkt aus dem Deutschen abgedruckt. Und die englische Auflage ist ggü der deutschen deutlich günstiger.

J'espérais des informations et une iconographie précieuses concernant le train du Bf 110. Malheureusement, le chasseur lourd incontournable ne fait l'objet que de l'équivalent d'une page sur tout le livre ! En fait, le problème est que l'ouvrage traite de très nombreux avions dont des prototypes qui n'ont même jamais volé ! Il semble que l'auteur aie fait le choix de parler d'un maximum de types différents au détriment de la profondeur des explications. Quantité plutôt que qualité. Mais enfin, il y a quand même une annexe très intéressante : la liste des avions traités et pour chaque, les dimensions des roues (nez s'il y a lieu, train principal et queue s'il y a lieu). De plus ce livre n'est pas totalement vide, vous trouverez tout de même des infos intéressantes.Bref, si vous cherchez des infos complètes sur UN avion, sachez que vous n'aurez peut-être pas tout ce que vous cherchez. Si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus général sur l'ensemble des appareils allemands, là oui vous pouvez acquérir ce bouquin.
