Note that the pictures that sell these from this seller actually show two different valve designs. Some pictures show a thread above the rubber seal and some dont. That thread is required for the tap sleeve to fasten to. There's no way to know which design you will get. The tap will turn on or off on the basis of approx a single 30 degree turn before stopping at the end of that turn. It might not match the behaviour of a partner tap working from an older design that allows control via several turns. As usual the difficulty in installing this is really unfastening the old calcified tap but on this occasion i may need to replace the new one with further valves that the sleeve can actually fasten to..

These are a perfect replacement for the original ones I have to replace. Being the slightly smaller size of 45mm they are an oddball size as the more common seems to be 50-52mm. These are a perfect like for like however the proof is in the pudding and wether the innards will live up to the standard of the original. Time will tell. So far so good. Slightly more expensive than one you can get from screw fix or tool station but they don’t currently stock the 45mm and these where the only ones on Amazon but £2 more for next day delivery was ok even though I’m prime you still end up paying for the postage embedded into the sale price.

Wow These got me out of trouble. Had a leaving tap and couldn't get inserts anywhere local even the well know trade counters Station and Fix if you know what I mean. Ordered these, next day arrived. Fit perfect dripping tap fixed . Brill and well happy
