The hinges are nice because they allow you to fold up the drum shields like an accordion. Now the problem is going to be putting it together. It is well made and is design to stay together once assembled. What we found to be the easiest way to put the plastic strips (hinges) onto the shield is to lay the shield down on the floor so that the long edge rest up against a wall. Then use a mallet or a tool similar to what would be use to put together a wood floor. This way you can get a wider grip on the plastic hinge.You would then find that it is easy to tap the plastic stripping on to the shield. Hope this helps

My windshield was shorter than the hinge itself. So I used a 4000 rpm thin abrasive blade to cut it to size. Used my knife to clean up the cut end. Showed no sign of being cut. Make sure you have it right where you want it on the windshield cause once you press it in place its not moving again. Haven't used it enough to say how long it will last as far as letting the windshield up and down. Time will tell. But it looks like it should last longer than the original one. The sun plays a part in how long it will last.

These hinges are more sturdy than the ones that came with cage. Easy to install:had to trim to height of cage. No problem after a month of use

This plastic hinge was purchased to fix our golf cart screen. It was an easy install and works great. Good quality and durable.

Used to replace the hinge of the fold down windshield on our side by side, which broke apart. Had to remove the old hinge with a chisel as it was glued on. Then friction fit this one. So far so good. One con is that the hinge is opaque and not clear like the original. But better that we can use both haves of the windshield.

Had a bad shipping issue took over 2 weeks to leave the warehouse, they blamed USPS I was in contact with USPS multiple times and was told they never got requests of the shipment. If your looking for any products like this I would highly recommend dealing with Budget Shield, Their customer support is top notch along with their products. And free shipping got a complete drum shield within 2 days and I’m on the East Coast. I wouldn’t even have given them a one star!
