Nice rocks
Rocks are beautiful. Coloration is subject to lighting quality. Aim for 6500 white LED to replicate sunlight. Great hardscape, subject to your creativity and ability to adapt to random sizes/shapes.

1 boulder, 1 very small flat piece.
Same review as the rest. 1 giant piece and one small piece. I ordered the 8lb and thats what you get. Everyone wants random pieces equalling to their specified weight. I'm not qualified to verify whether it's Seiryu or not.

not what i hoped for
Well unlike some people I got the actual weight I ordered (5.5lbs) This was one large rock with one smaller rock. Unfortunately neither rock will work for me. The larger rock has the white part on the outside in a huge 1inch thick vein. There is no way to position the rock that looks interesting because of this, it either just looks like a white rock or if I turn it around a grey rock. The second rock didn't have any veins of white in it (the whole reason to order this stuff) However, I knew in advance I was ordering rocks unseen from the internet so I knew I was taking a chance. Just wish they had picked better pieces since this is sold as an aquascaping piece. Based on photos other people provided you obviously can get some nice looking pieces. Also this stone is definitely not real seiryu stone as it is grey not blue. I think I've seen it referred to as "china rock" in other places. My rocks came with dirt wedged in them and actual plant roots stuck in the crevices so I would make sure you boil and clean them well before placing them in a tank.

Shorted on order, but attractive rock.
Nice looking rock, but I paid for 8lbs and received one single large rock weighing only 6lbs. For aquascaping purposes, a single large rock is not very useful to me. Hopefully, I will be able to break it into a few smaller chunks and get some use out of it.The rock itself has very nice coloration and attractive white veins going through it. The image shown is an accurate representation of what I received. Would have gladly rated 5 stars if I had received the 8lbs I paid for.Edit: I contacted amazon about the weight discrepancy and was granted a partial refund for the missing product. Great service from Amazon, as usual.

but the large variance in the amount of items you may get for the same weight makes me hesitate to recommend this item
I've ordered 2 items from this seller, the largest size petrified wood, and the second largest. The second largest came in as what I had wanted, two pieces one larger than the other by a decent margin. The first order came in as a single huge chunk of rock, and is the reason I take away one star. The item itself looks spectacular enough, but the large variance in the amount of items you may get for the same weight makes me hesitate to recommend this item. If the seller offers a way to Target a weight with a certain amount of pieces I would recommend this to everyone.

Gorgeous Seiryu Rock
I have ordered this rock several times and understand the ratings posted from excellent to meh.....that said I am getting ready to do it again and although pricey and you don't always get the size you are looking for, this rock is simply beautiful but have found nothing else that compares to it. It ages well and although you cannot see from the pics due to the size of the stone on one side of the tank, one of my first two purchases yielded one large and one medium size rock placed on the left side of the tank. I have been working on this tank for the last 18 months and am attempting to create that "valley" between the mountains look and why the additional purchase. Worth every penny!!

it's not like I was sold 2lbs
These stones are absolutely gorgeous. I am ordering another package today. I might get lucky and get more weight than this order ( I will re-post the review and weight of what I receive on the next order). I believe that the charge for weight and actual weight of the product is probably an average and the seller does not want to take a loss on shipping charges.(.i.e.. my 3 rocks were 6.5 lbs.; another person's might be 7.5lbs..someone else maybe 8.5..irrespective, for me it doesn't matter....it's not like I was sold 2lbs, 3lbs, 4lbs or 5lbs for and 8lbs shipping charge...customers on average are getting 6-10lbs for an 8lb shipping charge. Its just is the luck of the draw of the stones we get..
