Super high quality, very sturdy, definitely worth the investment. Big heavy duty 5 inch casters (2 swivel), thick extra strong legs and shelves. Feels like it will last a lifetime and then some. All the parts were in the box and was easy to assemble. This particular model is a good size for a tight garage. I store bags of animal food on mine, able to fit 2 fifty lb bags tin each shelf. Rolls. easy and smooth. Claims to carry 300 lbs, but I think it could go to 500 lbs. Highly recommend.

About 20 years ago I bought a Rubbermaid Heavy Hauler made from the same materials as this cart. I still use the hauler outside almost every day and have only had to replace the wheels once in 20 years. No other maintenance required. This cart serves several purposes for me. First off is as a way to get our groceries from the car to the kitchen. It has high sides to hold in those plastic bags full of groceries, is easy to push/pull with the supplied wheels, and is light and easy to steer in tight places. I also use it when I'm moving heavier items in the house (boxes of books, ammunition, cases of water, etc.) because it quintuples the weight of items that I can move in one trip. And I use it outside as a work platform to move pots, soil and fertilizer, chemicals, tools, and buckets of water for my new plantings. The cart fit together perfectly with tight tolerances, had the correct bolts, washers and nuts, and was easy to assemble. After about 30 minutes with two types of screwdrivers and a socket wrench, the cart was put together and ready to roll. Great rolling cart that can save you a lot of time and effort--especially if you have a bad back. Highly recommend.

I'm a disabled person who has a lot of trouble when unloading groceries from my car and getting them into my home. This cart has been a life saver. There is a ramp from my garage to my house which has made use of this cart a breeze. I'm able to put heavy items on the bottom and load the top with bags of groceries, roll it into my kitchen and unload at my leisure. Extremely easy to use. I know, probably a little unconventional for what it is normally used for but, trust me, it works for what I need and that is all I care about. Constructed of very sturdy, strong material. The wheels are very smooth. Only thing I would suggest... if you follow the instructions and install the 2 different sets of wheels the way they tell you, you wind up pulling the cart not pushing it like a shopping cart. We switched the 2 sets of wheels and now I can push the cart like a shopping cart. Convenient! Highly recommend this cart.

I love the cart. My wife loves the cart. We use it every day. It handles light and easy, yet the cart is extremely strong for carrying gallons of water, groceries , tools etc Reviews posted that say the cart is 'easy assembly' must be from younger folks. There are 4 upright corners, and 4 casters... total 16 bolts with nuts and lock washers. Each upright corner is attached to the bottom tray and to a caster using 4 bolts. The bolts go through holes in the upright corner, and then through holes in the bottom tray, and then through holes in the caster. Frankly the bolt holes did NOT line up perfectly between the upright corner and the bottom tray. Holes in the caster were plenty large and posed no problem. But the bolt holes in the upright corner and bottom tray are misaligned so they are tight. The bolts do not drop right through. We had to drive them through using a cordless screwdriver. But strangely, the bolt holes ARE loose enough that if you do not put the lock washer and nut on immediately, the bolt can slip back. Once the first bolt was in place, we had to use a phillips screwdriver inserted into one of the other bolt holes to pull the 2nd hole into alignment. We did not damage the robust plastic by doing this, but it was not the easiest task to pull the screwdriver while trying to use a cordless and drive the 2nd bolt through... at the same time arguing with the wife to hold the caster steady. After 3 bolts are in place, the 4 bolt fits fine.

I gave this cart only 4 stars because while the cart itself was the commercial quality I paid for, the assembly was sheer hell. Here’s why: 1.) The plastic parts had sloppy tolerances and poor fit and finish. There were numerous sprues (pieces of untrimmed excess plastic) still attached that resulted in some sharp edges and projections that could result in a significant scratch to one’s hand or fingers, and also would have interfered with the parts fitting together correctly. These all had to be removed before assembly with flush-cutting pliers, which was a time-consumptive mess. 2.) The assembly sheet has no wording at all. It’s simply done in pictures that didn’t explain things, like my next point. 3.) The biggest issue was the fact that the 4 corner posts would not fully engage their socketed areas in the bottom shelf until the 4 bolts for each (which also held the casters on the bottom side) were tightened all the way down. To get everything held in place while bolting it all together required 4 hands (2 of which were my wife’s) and then a couple of tries before everything was compressed enough for each of the 16 nuts to catch a thread. If you try this by yourself you will learn new words and behaviors you probably won’t want your kids posting on You Tube. Two other points worth noting: It would probably be prudent to put metal washers under all the bolt heads and lock washers, to help further distribute the clamping force against the relatively soft plastic. Also, depending on what you want to use this cart for, decide before mounting the top shelf to the corner posts about whether you want the 2 swivel casters underneath the handle end or opposite the handle, like a shopping cart. This is simply personal preference but makes a difference for some.

I purchased this as a Amazon Warehouse Deal, supposedly used, but really it was new with a box in rough shape and no packing inside. That didn't matter, no visible damage and the parts bag was sealed and all parts were included. It not only was easy to assemble, but it is very stable, that was key to me, because I have a photo copy stand attached to the top, so its top heavy, but still remarkably stable. Since its a narrow cart, that was a bit unexpected. I had purchased and returned a different narrow cart that was very unstable. Its my 3rd Rubbermaid cart, all three are excellent. The main weak point is the casters, they are cheaply made, the shaft for the wheels is actually a rivet, so I can't tighten them up when they are slightly loose or wobbly. I've replaced the casters with good ones on my other Rubbermaid cart, that really improved it. This one is pretty good, so I'm going to stick with the original ones, perhaps replacing the two fixed casters with swivel ones which I already have in my parts box.

This is my second RM Utility Cart, I use them around garage and home weekly. One of the best uses, I found was storing and moving my air compressor, hoses and gauges. Its as if it was made for that role. The quality is mostly on par with other carts in this price range. Although this cart did not have one of the holes drilled through the top support beam. This was easily fixed by a drill and bit. On the Amazon site, it clearly states 300lb. capacity but in another area of the same site it says 500lb. Be advised it is 300lbs, 150lb. per shelf. This had been listed for almost $150 for the longest time, when the price dropped to under $120, I was all over it. I think, if you can get one for under $120 it is a value buy. Over that, it does not seem competitive. After all it is plastic and oil prices have been down for a year. FYI - Made in USA

I've purchased two of these carts. The first one is still in pristine condition. I've tried a few other brands but this one is by far the most reliable and the best value. It's more expensive but it is very sturdy and it's BIG. I use it for bringing loads of all sizes around my warehouse and setting up mobile packing stations. Highly recommended.

This item is useful to carry groceries and other items as we are in a condo.
