Ecoline Brush Pen set Pastel | 10 colours (11509801)

I really liked the way these go down on paper, and the pastel colours means its easy to layer other medias on top of them - for example coloured pencils and oil pastels etc, so they're really good for sketchbooking. The brush tip means you can get quite expressive lines if you choose or use it at more of an angle to wash over a larger area. They're refillable which is also great. I think I'm going to buy some of the other colours as well!

I am actually a big user of Ecoline and pretty much own every pen in their range. But this pack are more like felt-tip pens (water based) than actual watercolour markers. They don't blend, don't spread with water and if you add water first, they don't even show up. Most of Ecoline's pens are great and don't do this, but I think the pigment in these is so weak it just doesn't work. The colours, however, ARE lovely and I would recommend them if you want to just do flat colour somewhere. But for good watercolour blending, I would say buy the full colour of what the pastel represents, and just water it down.

I use these pens all the time for art and for journalling. They blend beautifull and are so easy to use.

I mean not much to say. The pens are amazing. I got the darker more vibrant colours for Christmas but decided to buy these ones to use as shadowing and they are amazing on their own!! 100% recommended

I ordered these pens so i could make a birthday card and i was so disappointed. i've tried using them on different types of paper and they're impossible to blend and they're hard to use. they bleed through all the papers i tried and the colour sort of dries weird so i always have to re draw over them. the only good thing is that the colours are nice.
