Eliminating lousy pour spouts.
Modern gas cans have a poorly vented, dangerous pour spout that pours slowly and causes gas spillage. These caps replace the entire spout unit. I use a funnel and have much better results. The caps work great.

Excellent replacement caps
The fit and look like originals. They form a tight seal and I like that there are several in the package because I have 15 gas cans and am always losing one or some such nonsense.

Not a perfect fit, but good enough
I do get a little leaking, but nothing else was better

Will not fit Blitz cans
These seem like a good deal, but I can not judge durability at this point. Just got them. I will say they do not fit my Blitz cans. The neck is too short. However, They fit my Scepter and do not leak so far. Four to a pack with a good price. For storage and transport I'm sure they will be just fine. I also purchased the EZ-Pour brand and I like them better. They seem to be a better quality but they cost more and you only get Two to a pack. Tip: For all those who may have a little trouble using these and others, Try reverse screwing with a little downward pressure until you feel it catch, Then slowly screw the cap on making sure not to cross thread anything.

Cap design doesn't seal on mulitple make/model US gasoline cans
The cap is too tall along the cylindrical axis for typical gasoline can threads. I tried on both plastic and metal cans with coarse threads. It was necessary to insert two of the supplied gaskets from the set to create an adequate seal. So, either a shorter cap or a 2x or more thicker gasket is required for these to work properly. Also, the threads appear to be not properly sized, so it is difficult to get the cap to thread and sit on the sealing surface squarely during installation.

Gaskets shrink within a year, no longer seals.
I purchased several sets of 4. Plastic cap is solid and matched thread on Sceptre and Midwest 5 gal. plastic gas cans, and sealed completely when new.Unfortunately the rubber gaskets shrink within a few months to a year, and I've lost most of the gaskets so now he caps don't seal completely and can leaks if it is tipped. looking for replacement gaskets.

FINALLY A SOLUTION TO THE GAS CAN ISSUES...
Trying to dispense gasoline from a standard gas can is horrible. The spouts or funnels leak & take forever to empty the 5 gallon can. I tried many different funnels. No good. Now I use a large separate rubber funnel that goes directly into the gas tank opening. I pour the gas from the can into the large funnel opening without any other apparatus at all. Much easier, faster, etc. Must be careful not to pour too fast though. Those idiot donut caps that have holes in the middle to accomodate the funnel/spout are simply inefficient. Take more time to use and so easy to lose those little center caps covers. So the design of a standard gas can with a built in spout & donut hole cap is a failure in my book based on two years of experience and research.Today I replaced the donut caps with these and threw the former into the garbage. Good riddance.
