I would say no. I referred back to manufactures website and did a quick visual inspection of my boots. They did not say nor do I see that these have the ability to be resoled. That being said this is a quality piece of footwear. Other than for really hard use, one should get many years of wear before having to replace them.

Q: Are these boots very hot? Would they only be comfortable in the winter?

The Eastland Jack boots aren’t winter boots. I live in Calif. central coast, mild winters. The sole grips ok when new on wet surfaces but wear to smooth quickly. For safety reasons, I wear different boots on the 20 rainy days here. There is no lining, these are perfect on 100-50 degree days/nights. Extremely comfortable, comparable to Dr Martens air wear. The brown version was like $50 last year, now $120. Still look good after cleaning and mink oiling a couple times. The Dr Martens sole lasted twice as long.

Q: Is crazy-fast heel wear normal? My son wore these daily on a 1-week trip & the side of each heel is trashed. Not an issue w/ any of his other shoes...

I am an adult male just under 200lbs, I have had these for several months now wearing them 2 or 3 times a week, no significant heel wear yet. No doubt I am far more sedentary than your son, but I really like them and find they’re comfortable and well made
