Needs to come with a toggle switch cover as water could potentially get in the switch that way. Otherwise seems good, time will tell.

This is not marine grade. It will short out if it gets wet which is common in a boat.

These are great you can switch between automatic and manual. Sometimes when wired just on automatic my pumps don’t empty as much as I would like. With these switches I leave them on auto but manually switch them on from time to time. I’ve bought four of these in total so that tells you they must be ok. If you’re wondering why I’ve got that many-yes I’ve got a leak from the hot water cylinder and yes it’s getting sorted. Well worth the money saves me messing about checking and having to open hatches

I fitted this to control an automatic bilge pump on my narrowboat. When set to the 'Auto' position then I can forget about pumping out as the float switch activates upon rising levels of water in the bilges. The manual override is useful to check the operation of the pump as well as pumping out on an 'on-demand' basis whilst the indicator lamps offer reassurance that all is connected. One important point is to wire the switch directly to the battery and not through the isolator switch so that if leaving the boat the pump will remain powered up and able to operate when all the other onboard items are powered down. Connected to the proper bilge pump this controller will remove any ingress of water. Thereby limiting unnecessary visits to the marina every time it rains.
