My Dad has been building model ships for a long time and says this is a great kit.

Have not built this kit yet as working on other models.I have had all the sprues out of box ,it looks great nice crisp detail no flash ,instructions are clear and easy to understand. I would not recommend it to a novice builder ,it will take someone who has built a lot of kits and has the skills to deal with complex models. All in all well worth the money, and very detailed.

When I opened the box I found the instruction book and decals (transfers) was MISSING. I have sent an e-mail to REVELL products but they have still not sent me any replacements. PLEASE, could you request it. To save the cost of sending back the whole kit. MANY THANKS JOHN.

Done the model wasn't very happy with the parts very small and fragile couple of bits don't join up I have done a few models this was the worse one I have done not very pleased

Problem with the moulding on half of the hull, incomplete with quite large gaps, required a LOT of filler. Could have asked for replacement but for the sake of getting on with the build I filled them. Shouldn't have! I then had a problem with the loading deck lining up inside hull and tried to fix this as well but it just wouldn't line up properly which just led on to bigger problems later in the build. I'm not new to modelling and usually can work through issues like this but this model is now lying incomplete in the box and I've moved on to other kits. Not in a hurry to get back to it. Shame as it looked like a good kit.

Bought this for myself, not started yet but already see improvements in revell models. First the box a proper top opening box where you can lift the top of rather then the side opening type revell have always used. checked and all parts are present sealed in plastic bags, can't see any loose parts that have come away from the spruces, very nice detailed instructions with full painting instructions showing the painting scheme in full excellent. will post an update when i have completed the model.

Brilliant model, parts ideal for teenage or adult fingers. Easy instructions to follow.

I really feel bad for those unskilled modelers new in the hobby. If they were to get this model they would walk away and disgust and never build another model. It was difficult for myself to build and it came out looking terrible I have been building models for 56 years. Forget the clamshell doors and the ramp working as advertised. The selling thread idea of guardrail around the perimeter of the ship is one of the craziest ideas I've ever seen on a model. They would have been better just excluding the entire handrail. The instructions were very unclear and difficult to follow including all the paint Scheme instructions. One highlight of this model was building the small vehicles that go as cargo. I believe they save the model. I'm tempted to buy another just so I can have a redo I really want to throw the one I made in the trash. Good luck to whoever buys one of these to build.
