Brilliant
The media could not be loaded. Does exactly what it says it does. As you can see it does kick out like a lot of the reviews have said but once u pull it back does a great job. Brought it to try and level the garden out and reseed and it's doing an amazing job. It is very powerful so if you don't have the strength in Ur hands it will just pull off.Only downside I can find is where the pull switch is as it is hard to switch it on and keep control as soon as it's on but once uve got the control it's perfectDefinitely worth the money was looking at spending 60-70 pound to hire one for the day I paid 80 and can use as many times as I like

What a machine
Pretty easy to put to together if you've done lawnmower type handles before.Plug it in then strap yourself in like some sort of fishermen in the ocean trying to land a shark with a fishing rod, this thing takes off and churns up the earth like a guilty pleasure. It literally tore through a stretch of bedding in 30 seconds, which use to take me hours by hand.At one point it hit part of the concrete fence post and it lept about 3 foot in the air and took a nick out of the fence. The first use like those old western movies where they try and break in a stallion, get it under control and it will be the best gardening power tool you ever bought, fantastic investment.

Jumps about a lot
As the tiller jumps about take care of wire, we went through the wire because of the jumping and got caught up

Careful - This great little tiller kicks like a mule!
Brilliant machine for the price. Be aware that this kicks like an absolute cow when it starts up and when it hits hard ground, so you'll need good grip strength to keep it under control. It can be started with one hand if you have long fingers, otherwise you'll need both hands to press the safety and start it up, which can be a bit awkward/terrifying due to the aforementioned kickup when it gets going. The blades and motor are strong enough to chew through our compacted clay soil and it neatly spat out most of the rocks and rubble into the furrow being made in the garden. The tiller could make short work of most ground and as long as you use the wire guard and are aware of your surroundings there shouldn't be any reason for this to chew through the power cable (I saw this mentioned on another review and must assume the handler was a bit of a muppet for letting it be anywhere near the wire when in use).I spent two hours digging out a metre of soil with a fork and spade. It took less than an hour to turn over the entire length of my garden with this rotavator. Brilliant little beast!

Outstanding budget tool
As others have said, this kicks hard and requires significant grip strength to stop it running away from you. That said, the workout I'd significantly less than digging by hand! It tills top layers with ease and if you pull back, it digs down deep - just be careful because it'll fling rocks out ahead of itself!I spent four days(!) digging trenches manually before someone suggested this. I only had a thin layer of clay left to dig, but it was hard as concrete and underlain by loads of rubble. Not a problem for this little power pig. What a beast. If I was going to have a gripe, the power cable is a pain because it constantly wants to dive under the blades, but if you can keep it behind eas you move forward, you're golden.

Great to be electric
I have used a Mantis petrol 2-stroke tiller for many years, so unlike some reviewers I didn't find this scary to use. I have a 1000W petrol generator and was looking for something that would run on that at the allotment - many similar items are 1200W or higher so wouldn't run.I can use this without ear defenders and its slightly less tiring to use. With a 2-stroke, mixing up fuel and never being quite sure it would start (and especially re-start after running for a while) was a pain - this is a pleasure.I can't comment on longevity, but there is a lot less to go wrong with an electric motor.Only real downside is the 'push the button then pull the lever' switch which as others have said needs two hands on one side to start it - a bit awkward but not a deal breaker at £80
