Alamo AAM Flying Model Rocket Kit. RK-1011

I grew up on Estes model kits and was reluctant to venture outside of that brand, but I had to own this short-burn Alamo AA-10 kit, and I’m super glad I did! Solid parts, clear instructions, great scale, well worth the money, and a great flying rocket to boot. I now own 3 other rockets from rocketarium, all built for my son, and I absolutely love them. IMHO, they’re better quality than Estes, and can use rockets OTHER than Estes, which I didn’t even know existed until about a month ago!Update: with the weight you have to add to the nose cone for balanced flight purposes, this rocket is pretty nose heavy. Tore my second parachute with the recommended D Motor with a 6 second delay...recommend a lower ejection delay and potentially a bigger parachute to slow the decent. Seems to pick up speed too much before the ejection charge deploys the chute and streamers the chute, which eventually broke a fin(easy fix.)

Nice rocket. A powerful engine on the 4th flight sent this thing down range like a cruise missile. Aggressive Russian design features like the middle fins can create impressive erratic flight patterns. My favorite model rocket so far. I bought two. But be careful. That 4th launch got a little spooky.
