Product is great. came damage free. Used Ace HandyMan services to put together. They stated that some holes did not align when assembling. Back of chest (where your head would be when laying down) is not solid wood. More like compressed particle board. You would not want to put to much pressure on (like stacking pillows against) to read at night. Will probably reinforce. But overall, love this piece of furniture. Son will use on breaks and while home from college in summer. Says it's really comfortable.

This is exactly what I needed. It folds into a cabinet which I can accessorize the top of and if looks great in my den. When I need it as a bed it is easy to open. I have a memory foam mattress that I put on top of the given mattress and it just works. Super comfortable and high quality piece.

The bed is study and attractive. However, assembly was made difficult by insufficient screws and poor latch alignment. However, the manufacturer quickly supplied replacements and the unit is now complete and a good piece of solid furniture. If the manufacturer would predrill small pilot holes to help screws catch and provide a better way to align latches it would make life easier for buyers. Better instructions would help as well - and a way to contact the company for advice or parts. I am an experienced handyman with a ton of tools and experience. I would not recommend a novice attempt to assemble this piece unassisted.

I needed to hide a bed in my living room. Not only is the bed hidden but it’s more comfortable than the bed in my bedroom. If you like a firm mattress this is a winner.

As advertised +. My only negative is the comfort. I had to add a mattress topper which made it tolerable but still not a that comfortable. 6’1”, 220 lbs. It serves the purpose when I use it. Functions well and looks very nice however. A lighter person would probably be extremely satisfied with it.

I moved into a 430 sq ft cabin and this is the only bed in the house. I open it up every night and close it up every morning. The assembly instructions are clear and every part is numbered or lettered. This is made of heavy solid wood, so final assembly should be done right at it's final resting point.

Solid wood. Cannot be used on rugs or carpet. Lengthy assembly.

I purchased the bed for my 6’8” 250# grandson who recently came to stay with me. The bed met my expectations in all ways. It is very sturdy and comfortable. And the cabinet is of the highest quality. I am more than pleased.
