works but has a flawed design
I tried to use this for a USBC hub/laptop and a desktop but the KVM switch just turns off everything when there is no laptop plugged into the USBC hub. It would either cut off the monitor or take a very long time to switch the hardware controls over. I have tried it with 2 desktops and it works fine so I am guessing it is not receiving enough power when the USBC laptop is not plugged in even though the desktop is providing full power. The USBC hub only gives a small amount of power when there is no laptop plugged in. Grabbed another model with a usb power cord and it works flawlessly.

Problems with connected devices
I noticed (pretty much from the start) that my mouse will sometimes lag or not move while it's plugged into this thing. Just a little bit, and it's barely noticeable, but it IS noticeable. Now it's a couple weeks after I purchased it, and each time I switch between devices, my keyboard stops working. I just need to re-plug it, but that shouldn't be happening. And I'm wondering what else will go wrong if it's already having problems. So I'm returning it. I wouldn't recommend these things. The components and/or manufacturing quality are apparently pretty lousy. Too bad, because it would be a great device if it actually worked properly.

Small and does what a KVM switch does.
Unit is small, works well and is clearly labeled. Comes with (1) HDMI cable and (2) USBA to USBC cables. Pictures clearly show what comes with it. Comes with an information card with a pictorial of how it works but not really directions. But if you need directions for a KVM switch then a KVM switch may be too advanced for you.Pros:-- Small size and HD functionality. I am running a 2K (2560x1440) monitor with crystal clear display from either input.-- Has additional USB ports that switch.-- Computer can sense monitor type through switch. Have had other KVMs that did not.Cons:-- LEDs are hard to see unless looking directly down on the unit.-- Does not switch audio (except through HDMI). But knew that going in as there was no indication it switches audio.

Great money and space saver!
I have an older laptop with broken hinges and broken power socket. The power still works if it is positioned just right and not touched. Continued opening and closing of the screen is getting it closer to catastrophic failure. So, the laptop works as long as I don’t touch it! It would go to the recycler except there is software on it I need that I cannot install on my newer computer. With this switch, I was able to set the old computer up to share a monitor and keyboard with the new one so that I can use use it without further damage. The switch works very well. Once both computers are booted up, all it requires is a touch of the button on top to switch between them. It is a great solution to my problem while not wasting money and desk space by having to double up on keyboards and monitors.

Oh you wanted something that works.
Let's start with what I liked about it. Okay now that we got that out of the way. In the picture it looks like you get one double stack box. The picture looks like a nice double stack with all the connectors on one side. in reality you only get one with connectors on both sides. I wanted to have all my cables on one side and out of the way. Fine no problem I can deal with that. Even those I have installed a KVM before I just decided to refer to the directions. Which are posted on something the size of a sticky note. With writing so small that under magnification it just looks like a couple of dots. Test time. Video check. mouse on but looking like it's only about a half brightness. Keyboard keyboard keyboard oh well I hope I don't need one as this one KVM keyboard connection doesn't work. So in the end all I have in an HDMI switch.

You won't need tech support for this item unless it's defective.
Should be plug and play like Legos if you don't know what to plug where you should buy this cool play school shapes in holes game they make it may be for toddlers but your going to need to learn your shapes somehow. Anyway the only issue is the main computer I pkug into is pc1 well when pc1 is turned off it defaults to pc2 but pc2 is also turned off also I want the micro usb switch but can't find that anywhere on Amazon cause I need to place the switch near my keyboard but with all the cables plugged into it makes it a huge mess of cables. So I need the micro USB switch.

Screen Kept flickering - Not a good product
I purchased this to help switch from my personal computer and my work computer so that I have one keyboard and mouse instead of two. Well, when I first got it, it smelt like something electrical was burning before I plugged it in. then I hooked it up, it would flicker on and off. No matter what I did, it would not keep the display on once it established the computer it was connected to. So I returned it and thought I would try another and it did the same thing. By my own laziness, I did not return it in time to receive my money back, that is my bad, but i would not purchase this again. I got a VGA connector from another company and it works perfectly. My honest opinion.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID.

Exactly What I needed
I was in the market for a KVM switch due to starting a new job working remote.I was looking for one that had:-HDMI-No external power-4k capable-Easy switching solutionThe AIMOS HDMI KVM Switch fit all these needs extremely well.I currently have it connected to my M1 Mac Mini, Dell laptop and dock, and a 34" Ultrawide monitor.Everything just works with little to no fuss. I would recommend only using certified HDMI cables since cheaper ones I had around the house did not work.I ended up being these HDMI cables to go with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GGJDPR3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1
