So good, I bought them twice (but I had to buy them twice)
Loved these boots so much I bought them again - overall, 4.5 stars. The good: - Stylish casual boots. They're clunky and big in the best of ways; if this isn't for you, don't get them. - These worked for hiking, daily wear, and and extremely casual work environment, although I also wore them with a blazer for a business casual look several times. - Lace to fit tightly. - Incredibly comfortable. - Ankle support without being obvious. The initial few wears can be stiff around the ankles; recommend wearing higher socks (hiking height) to protect your skin until the boots soften a bit. This is worth it for the stabilization factor while hiking or walking over uneven terrain. - More sole support than expected. I can and have stood for hours in these boots. I can and have walked for miles as well, including a multi-hotel conference in Las Vegas. No problem, even though I usually need more arch support. - I don't know whether they're specifically waterproof, but they seem to be at least water resilient. I'd come out of a hike with dry feet when my companion was soaked. - Worth the cost - I got my money's worth. - Wore these near daily, and the boots held up very well until they didn't. The less great: - Wear slightly higher (ankle-height) socks to avoid blisters just above the heel on your Achilles tendon. This need did not go away for me. You can't wear tiny, thin socks and survive in these boots without some pain. It was fine with a good pair of thick running socks that had a fabric tab in the back. I had to purchase these socks, so that was a little annoying. - They squeak. This does not go away, but it does get better. - These boots repelled dust and mud for eight months of constant wear. At the eight month mark, I wore these to a dusty Renaissance festival, and they failed to fully recover. Prior to that, I kept getting asked if I had new boots. - At the eight month mark, the sole on the side also began to slightly separate from the fabric slightly on one boot, right where your foot bends at the toes. I kept my original pair for another four months - wearing them slightly less - and it didn't get worse, so they held up fairly well. - While I'm pretty tough on boots overall, eight months (versus several years) is quite early to have issues with Doc Martens. Extended lifespan is why I switched from Army surplus to Doc Martens years ago. I assume it's because of the fabric material versus leather, but as mentioned, whatever this fabric is, it's quite resilient overall. The cost is also lower on these, so the value is still quite good, considering how much I wore them. Total time elapsed without showing signs of visible wear with near-daily use: eight months. Total time elapsed before purchasing pair number two: one year. TLDR; so good I bought them twice - but I had to buy them twice.

Keeping these!
Very well made shoe, they're not heavy on the foot but like most high top a little breaking in is needed though nothing like the leather version. I have a more narrow foot with a high arch. They're wide through the toe but my foot still feels supported. Like some have mentioned, they run about a half size or less bigger. I'm a solid 7 but I could have ordered a 6.5 if that were available. A 6 would be too small. They don't slip on my heel which is nice for thinner socks and thicker socks make the fit just right. Overall really enjoy these.

Great casual boots!
I’ve bought these boots twice! Love the way the comfortable fit and look. Great quality and easy to break in. My first pair, I wore every day when working as a mail carrier, and they did get scuffed up. I wouldn’t recommend them as a work shoe in rough terrain.

Got these long work shifts!
1 month in update!: Still really great and highly recommend! I do recommend getting longer ankle socks to wear with these if you are planning to walk around a lot during the day in them for example retail jobs or joobs that require you to walk constantly (regular errands you should be fine thuogh!). It also snowed 8 inches where I live, and I wore them to test how they'd do in the snow for walking half mile distances. They have great traction, kept me warm, and didn't get soaked through at all! (walked on snowy sidewalks and slushy streets for reference). These are my first pair of Doc Martens and after reading reviews, I decided to try these since I needed something for long-work shifts where I'm standing and moving often indoors. I wanted something fashionable but functional and definitely comfortable where i'm not sore after a 4-8 hour shift. I'm only a couple days into wearing them and they are surprisingly really comfortable and not hard to break in like I imagined sturdy boots would be! I bought my usual size there is a little room but I'm planning to wear these in the winter with heavy socks so I'm not worried (as others have said you'd probably be safe sizing half a size down!). I already love these! I would definitely buy a second pair.

Love these boots
Have purchased these boots twice now. Used for several years and recommend them to people all the time. The way they hold my ankles is so supportive and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. Hands down!

Not True to Size
This is a great boot. Super comfortable and really cute. There is one issue- you must size down! I normally wear a 7 1/2 but will wear an 8 if only whole sizes are available. The size 8 was huge on me. I returned the 8 and ordered a 7, a half size down from my normal shoe size. The 7 fits perfectly. For reference, I have wide feet and a high arch. A half size down was good for me. A narrower foot could probably go down a full size...

You can't go wrong with these
Go get them! This is my second pair. The first pair had a lot of salt on them from last year so I thought they were ruined. I washed them after purchasing the second pair and they look new. Wish I would have tried to wash them first. These are very comfortable. I wear the first pair at least 4 times a week in the winter a and they still look new. They do run big. I'm usually a size 7.5 - 8 and the 7 fit perfectly.

I love these boots way more than I originally thought.
I've had these for almost three years. They're great, they're comfortable; I don't have any issues with them. They're not falling apart, even the laces have held up to the test of time. I do a lot of walking (think 35K steps a day) for my job, and I found myself even wearing them in my own time. I'm gonna get another pair soon enough. What people say about the size is true, order smaller than your own size otherwise you're gonna have clown feet. The only thing that makes me sad is that the Airwair tag on my left boot came off, the right shoe still has it. I'm wearing them right now.

Favourite
Good quality and very comfortable. I've had the same boots for 4 years and worn them every day so I needed some new ones. Very light weight and go with everything. No blisters like most of my other Dr martens, the style is great they go with everything and they're actually quite cheap compared to my other docs as well.

Super comfy and super durable!
You can never go wrong with Dr. Martens. I bought these to be a new winter boot (I don't do into deep snow) because I know Dr. Martens have incredible grip just on their average boots. (I have a leather pair I don't want to wreck) I haven't slipped or slid once. I haven't even sprayed a water proof coating yet and they've kept my feet dry and warm. They are a wider boot, as they are Unisex. I wear an 8.5 in Vans so I got the 8 in these and they are perfect.

B.Khaki

Superior fit and comfort
I’ve worn out numerous pairs of Dr. Martens boots in my time. I bought these on a whim. (Thank you, lightning deal!) Being used to the leather variety, I wasn’t sure if I’d like these since they are a little different. However, I needn’t have worried. These boots are just as comfortable as my previous pairs, if not more so. The padding around the opening is a welcome addition and the fit is far superior. They are more compact than the traditional version, which suits my feet much better. I’d always felt that the original version were very roomy in my size (and I had tried smaller sizes), but these fit like a glove. Very impressed. Love these!
