Used, but very useful book
I knew it was used, so no mystery there. Good price. As for the material, absolutely necessary and magnificent for anyone interested in card magic. It not only goes over tricks, but how to construct trick decks, how to set up ordinary decks for trucks and card control. How to make trick decks is very helpful, and one trick deck that doesn't get mentioned much, Mene-tekel deck. Like a Svengali, but instead of the force cards being the same, the shaved cards in the Mene-tekel deck are mirrors of the regular 26 cards. This allows for many more tricks and manipulation of the spectators. Totally a worthwhile book for any magicians collection. Buy if available. You won't regret it.

This is more of an advanced book
This book was pretty difficult to figure out so I imagine that it was intended for an experienced adult. I originally bought it for my grandson and I to figure out some tricks but it’s beyond us… not a criticism of the material itself. Just be warned that it’s more on the advanced side of magic.

My grandson who’s 19 years old and got it for his birthday seems to like it a lot- refers to it often when he wants to entertain us!

A must have card trick resource!
I give this one five stars for the sheer wealth of knowledge it contains! I love how there are more tricks in it than I can find almost anywhere, and the descriptions of how to do the tricks are very straightforward. Some have said it's lack of pictures makes it difficult to learn from, but I didn't find it a problem given the simplicity and in-depth style of the wording. You can pick up a deck and perform some of these very quickly, while others you will have to work a few days on. Regardless, I believe this to be an indispensable gem of a card trick book and will not part with mine...

Very advanced
This is a little more thorough than I was hoping for. My dad has been doing little card tricks here and there so I wanted to get him something to help him do some more tricks. At first glance I realized that this book was more advanced than that. It has a lot of great information in it! Just not the right book for casual card tricks.

One of My Favorites
This was one of the first books I purchased when I was a young magician and I love now as much as I did then. Great selection of effects and easy to learn for most of them. Great for beginners and advanced.
