We have used Thieves from YL, Health Shield from Healing Solutions, and Fighting Five from Edens Garden. For me this is the best of them all. Thieves from YL was great, but too expensive for everyday diffusing. I like Health Shield and the price was right, but there was discussion in the reviews of synthetics being used. I don't know if this is true or not, but decided to look for an alternative. Fighting Five was the weakest of the group for me. This Thieves blend is very heavy on cinnamon. I like it. Makes me happy walking into the room. Now does it cure/prevent the flu? Who knows, there are not any legitimate evidence based studies on this (ok let the hating begin). But it makes me feel better and our family hasn't gotten the flu, but we did get flu shots this year (ok let the second hating begin). Smells nice when I walk in the room. So for me the price is right, the product is what I was looking for, and it makes me happy to walk into a room, and we haven't gotten sick during this long winter. So Five Guards for the win, although I prefer to call it 3 Guards and 2 Forwards.

I purchased this oil to go in an essential oil pendant for health protection (Aromalove, London - reviewed). The scent is heavy on the cinnamon and cloves. Not sure how that compares to other brands of this oil. Three drops of the scent has lasted a few days in my pendant. I also used 3 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil (coconut) and applied to the bottom of my feet to help repel cold symptoms that are going around our house. Seems to have worked. I have it going in my diffuser and prefer the scent in that as I can detect the other oils in the blend. It comes out the bottle very slowly so is not thin and diluted.

This is a FUN scent to use in infuser (gift possibility especially for Thanksgiving / Christmas). It has a wonderful cinnamon scent that lasts quite a while. I rub it on my feet before bed and it feels so good. I rub it on my hands (2 or 3 drops) and then scrunch it into my clothes to help them smell good. My husband is a smoker (trying to quit now), but all my clothes smell even though I keep them in a closed room. It hasn't discolored anything of mine so far, but use with caution in this way. You only need two or three drops on your hands!!! I wouldn't try it on expensive clothing. Other scents have just mixed with the cigarette scent, but this one seems to do away with the smoke smell. We have a Cockatiel Bird and this scent does not bother him. We have to be careful with candles and other scents with him, but this scent is natural. Check with you Aviary Vet about it yourself though before using. Enjoy!

This is comparable to one of the young living products which cost 3 times as much but this product is actually better. I have used it daily since received. I mix in my diffuser with a bit of citrus. Amazing. For all those familiar with Russian tea or witches brew that is what it smells like.

The smell is okay, but is not at all like other blends like "Theives" as it claims. Also I had diffused this for two days in my house when my Yorkie had a seizure. He had never had one before and hasn't had one since. Upon review, I realized there was an oil toxic to dogs. I stopped using it immediately. I have friends who use "Thieves" from Young living with dogs in their house and this doesn't happen. I would not use this product in a household where there are pets.

My husband and I felt that we were coming down with the flu. Used this on our feet and also in the diffuser. We got very tired but did not get the flu.

This scent is amazing. It’s not too overbearing. I have it in my diffuser daily, because no other scent I have even compares. I also use it in my car diffuser. It almost smells like a cinnamon roll without giving me a sweet tooth. Also: I’m not sure if it has anything to do with this stuff, BUT my mom came through with a nasty cold last week and so far no one in the house has caught anything. *fingers crossed* When I come close to running out, I will be repurchasing.

I love the smell. I bought it for use on wool dryer balls for my laundry. It has the added benefit of being off putting for cats (who knew!). So I also add it to a spray bottle and spray the towels that I have my plants sitting on so my fur baby will stop munching on my plants then throwing it up on the carpet. Five Guards for the win! lol.
