Instructions showed the most important assembly item, attachment of the pivoting arm. Attachment of the coupler to the hitch extension was very easy to figure out without a drawing or instructions. Outstanding value for the price!

I purchased this to make carrying kayaks and canoes easier with my Honda Ridgeline (short bed pickup). It's worked great and I *really* like how it folds up for storage. Seems quite solid and well made.The reason this isn't a 5-star review is that a hitch pin for the receiver is not included and the instructions are not very good. Be sure to look at the pictures to see how it's actually put together and how to lock it closed. Putting it together wasn't difficult, but more difficult than it needed to be.

Terrible instructions but easy to see how everything goers together by the pictures on the page. Will be using to haul a 14' kayak with a Tacoma. Product seems well constructed but came with a bit of rust and paint missing.. The packing box was torn and apart at the end and in the middle. Thankfully all the parts were in a bag attached to the rack.

The device when assembled works fantastic. However the build instructions were less than useless. I recommend the product. Just know it might take some trial and error to set up!

I've only used this a couple of times, but I keep it broken down in the back of my Tacoma ready to work. I used it for my brother's Kayaks and it was perfect. Also used to carry a couch and it made it just right for length. Have not used it for lumber yet, but I know it will be great for us men with short truck beds.

I have a Tacoma and this product works well by extending the bed and lying things down flat, which gives me much more review visibility. Make sure to have a pin for connecting to your trail hitch. This doesn’t come with the equipment.

I am a project manager for a fiber cement siding company. This extender is the best I have seen on the market. It collapses perfectly under the back seat of my work truck. Its durability is great too. I put over 30 pieces of pressure-treated wood on it and while I could visually see the truck shocks go down, the extender was still going strong. I recommend it to any person wanting a compact yet sturdy extender for recreational or daily use.
