HARRIS BRPF4 Bridgit Paste Soldering Flux, 4 oz. Jar

I was commissioned to reconstruct a large bronze 82 year old model of a airplane that was part of the Robert Gast Memorial at Louisville’s Bowman Field. Soldering to the massive bronze parts created a problem. It took a lot of heat to get the solder to melt temperature, and by then normal flux boiled off. I discussed the challenge with Harris Metals tech services and Bridgit was recommended. It had a very broad temperature range. It worked great. Combined with greater heating by an acetylene/air torch, I was able to reassemble the plane and it’s good for another 80 years.

You cant get a better flux , I have been using this for over 25 years. You can't believe how good this stuff is . I am a licensed plumber and few people have ever seen this product.

My favorite flux

Although I've not had any leaks since I started using this flux it tends to leave a black residue inside the fitting. Trust the residue is non-toxic and rinses clean.

Used this and the silver solder to put in a heat pump for a neighbor, and only needed to use a low temperature propane torch. It holds 500 PSI easy! R-410.

I used this flux with rosin core lead free and it has secured my job with great hold.
