I wanted a specific configuration and the seller gladly made it to meet my needs. The waist was too big but you can easily take off the buckle, cut off excess length off the leather waist strap and put the buckle back on. Now it fits great and I don't even need the suspenders if I don't want to wear them, although they're not uncomfortable at all.Like any off the shelf armor you need to do some garage blacksmithing to get it to fit you perfectly, in this case the panels come flat and you need to bend them to fit the shape of your thighs. Once you do they hug your shape and don't snag everything. The center protection is, of course, great for us guys. I'm really happy with the item and I'm excited to wear it to a renfair soon hopefully.
