Great product, perfect size and weight for the kitchen draw and all knives … not sure why I never bought this earlier!! Can’t fault 👍🏻👌🏼

Brilliant!
Having had several different types of knife sharpener and either having lost them (too small) or broken them I decided to revert back to what I grew up with. I remember my dad using a steel like this to sharpen knives when I was little and I have not been disappointed. Easy to use, sharpens beautifully and robust in the hand. Perfect! And at least I know I won't ever have to buy another!

Does the job
A steel isn't designed to sharpen but to align the blade edge. I always sharpen my knives with a whetstone and periodically use a steel to keep the blades true. It's a good size and affordable steel.

Hones Knives Well
It's not a knife sharpener but an excellent honer that helps keep knives straight and removed the little kinks in the knife with ease.

will prob not last
Well I think this is gonna wear out quickly you just can't get the feel of the "flutes" really.All feels so smooth.It hones reasonably ok at the start.I just need it for small knives maybe some larger ones . Hence 3 stars as not overly impressed. I have used one I bought from Habitat 40 years ago and that lasted a good few years. You get what you may for. Estimate one year for this. Should have bought a more expensive one but can't afford it. Probably won't buy again.

Exactly what I needed - old fashioned but works perfectly - if you are an old “git” like what I is who knows what he is doing!

Really good.
Very comfortable handle, made my knives extremely sharp that after being blunt that it cuts through paper with extreme ease.

Good 'finishing' steel.
I use this mainly to restore the 'edge' on slightly dulled blades. Very good handle design- comfortable and with satisfactory protection built in..
