Good replacement for halogen bulbs, but does not fully illuminate glass shades.
Will be replacing all our hot-burning halogens with these eventually. Only draw back is that they don't seem to have rear illumination - i.e. if you have a colored glass shade on the light (we use these in WAC track lights with burnt orange glass shades) it won't illuminate the whole shade, only the front. (See pictures: 1st is of halogen bulb in shade, illuminating both the front and back of the shade, 2nd is this EcoSmart GU10 LED bulb, illuminating just the front of the shade). Still will change them all out to prevent fire hazard and extend the life of the bulbs. They are dimmable, which is a nice feature.

Okay Bulbs, made in the PRC
Bulbs have a nice color temperature with a good, golden light. On the other hand, if you are looking for a U.S. made product (which I understand used to be the case with EcoSmart), you'll need to look elsewhere. These bulbs are manufactured in the PRC.

Had good luck with this brand
Between two houses I have bought around 200 bulbs of this brand over the past 13 years to replace incandescent lighting. Began with fluorescent, most of the first ones I purchased are still work today. When LED became available I bought them exclusively. Sure, some have died prematurely but the number is very small, haven't kept track but would estimate under 3%. I think they are a great value for the price and was disappointed when Home Depot discontinued.

No longer available at Home Depot
I purchased a bathroom fixture from Home Depot that used the GU 10 bulb. I replaced the original bulbs with GU 10s from Home Depot. The GU 10 2 pin bulb is not common and when I checked Home Depot discovered they did not have in stock, when one of the LEDs quit working but did find from this vendor on Amazon. It is the exact replacement I needed. Very happy with service, cost and delivery.

A good color/temperature match for halogen bulbs
So far the lights nave been perfect for replacing energy hogging, hot, halogen bulbs and they are very close in color temperature to the halogens I am replacing (I replace them as they burn out, 12 lights in a soffitt installation). Its been very difficult finding the proper color temperature (most trend toward cool-blue-ish) which does not match the warm yellow of incandescents (regardless of whether the advertised color temperature being 'warm').

22 Years?! More like 22 days
We’ve used the bulbs for a little less than a month now. Our first one blew out today. Definitely not worth the money. Now we have to figure out how to change it. Our ceilings are 18 feet high, and the chandelier we have gets tangled easily (hence getting bulbs that supposedly last 22 years). Save your money and buy something else.

“Bright White” not as bright/white as “Daylight.”
Couldn’t find the same mr16/gu10 dimmable bulb in “Daylight” so thought “Bright White” would be close. Disappointed. Not as bright as daylight and not as white as daylight. Still yellowish glow.
