After unboxing the medicine ball look solid. The black surface resembles and feels like a grade school playground hard ball and is a little slippery. I believe because it's new it has that factory sheen and will take a little time to work in. The colored surface (blue) feels little more rubberized and is dimpled - giving a feeling of more grip to it. Overall I think this medicine ball with be a frequent exercise tool used by me and my family for years to come.

After three months of personal use we are very happy with our purchase. It has held up well. At this price point it would be a go to for most people looking to exercise at home.

I’ve been using this ball for over a week now and so so far it’s been great! I haven’t experienced any issues with the balls grip like some reviews mention. The price as great and the product has been serving it’s purpose just fine for me so I have no issues!

Not too heavy, not too light, Great option for someone just starting out.

Everything I wanted from a medicine ball. Feels dense with a firm bounce, and I love the dual grip areas. As noted by others, it does have a slightly oily coating at first, but a soapy rag cleans it off easily. It's also larger than other medicine balls I've used for this weight range, so just something for buyers to be aware.
