Great fun and works quickly
Lots of fun and instant gratification for the kids as the crystals started to grow within hours. After 2 days it was a fully grown crystal garden.

Great
They are really great. Easy to do and grew a lot of chrystals. We left them overnight and the trees look lovely now.

A bit disappointing and short lived.
The kids enjoyed colouring them in and seeing the crystals the next morning. The card was flimsy and easily bent on assembly. It was difficult to pour the solution on from the packet without it going everywhere, and the crystals didn't colour anything like as well as in the picture. They also fell apart very quickly and I've no idea if the crystal dust is safe to inhale or not so they were quickly binned, which is disappointing. We won't be buying more.Considering this is National Geographic branded, such a short lived product and the large amount of plastic involved in packaging and pens (which pretty much ran out during the colouring process) is not great.

WASTE OF MONEY
Terrible product, nothing like the photos. When you pour the gel over the cardboard tree the cardboard itself goes to mush, the markers are terrible quality and 2 of them were completely dry. The crystals grow to nowhere near the the trees in the photo. Very disappointed 7 year old! Don't waste your money in this!

OK... but not as good as expected.
Nice items for teaching the kids. However, the card tree parts were slightly broken in the box so had to be extra careful not to fully break them in colouring. Some of the felt colours were actually out of ink and ran dry quickly, and not enough liquid to give anywhere near the same representation on the front of the pack.

Not as pictured
The provided markers had gone almost dry, meaning some crystals didn’t get coloured. The included crystal is a joke, it’s so small you’d have to use a camera and zoom in to appreciate any details. The crystals only formed at the tips and not the entire tree as show.On the plus side, my son loved colouring the tree and watching the crystals grow, it was a good dad and son activity and that’s priceless :)
