This is a book that I wish I had written. What a sense of humor Earl Brechlin has! He also has a wonderful gift of perfectly describing the back woods of Maine, and how we humans are very much a part of nature. This is a fabulous book about friends, laughter, learning, companionship, family, sharing & life's happy & sometimes sad moments . I highly recommend this book. I have purchased almost a dozen copies to share with my dear friends & family. I have one sacred copy stashed away just for me to read again & again. Enjoy! :)

Speaking as a member of a fellowship of outdoorsmen that has spent 5 decades enjoying the north Maine woods, this has brought back so many wonderful memories. I thank you for sharing the stories. We also have a similar club, The Denmark Sporting Club from Denmark Maine. I sure we could share stories that we both would enjoy.
