I WOULD have enjoyed this p-roduct very much had I not spent over AN HOUR cleaning ALL of the pipe piece to degrease them, only to learn I was missing ONE 10-inch pipe piece. This CRITICAL piece is needed to connect the product to the wall. I called AMAZON, and was told I must RETURN the ENTIRE product after spending my valuable time cleaning ALL of the pieces. Maybe I am somewhat to blame for not counting the pieces beforehand; however, I STILL would NOT want to have returned the entire product. Why could I NOT be sent ONE 10-inch pipe piece? This was no possible. So, I will NEVER order from this company again, even though the look of the product is great. I cannot answer the other questions, for without the missing piece, I cannot determine any of them. It's like putting a puzzle together only to realize the LAST piece is not there. DISAPPOINTED BEYOND WORDS.I am going to HOME DEPOT to see if they can save me by cutting a piece of pipe for me. Hopefully they will be my savior. Then, the POSITIVE review can go to HOME DEPOT rather than this vendor

This product is sturdier and more well built than expected, but the dimensions are FAR off. The pictures state that the overall width is 31.7 inches. As measured, it is just over 38 inches at the top. The shelves do not even come close to fitting. The inventory sheet states that there are three pipes of the same size: the two long ones that run up the side and the one across the top. Based on the dimensions in the photos, they should not be the same size to achieve advertised dimensions. I tried calling the customer service line and was sent to voicemail. I would simply like the appropriate sized top bar to make it the advertised width. Sorry to leave a bad review, but I’ll be happy to remove it when this is fixed.

I didn't believe this set is actually steel water pipe. You will need two pipe wrenches to tighten the fittings. Once it's in place you can hang up your clothes and do pull ups too!

I purchased this garment rack for my heavy winter jackets. I needed something that can hold a lot of weight. This seems to be the best material and sturdy enough for the job. Here is a bit of very important advice... DO NOT wash parts with soap and water as I did. after opening package I placed all small parts inside a bucket with dish soap and sink water. I then grabbed a brush and scrubbed all the parts. After I layed them out to dry in the sun on a towel I noticed rust and de lamination on most the small parts (Not long pipes). The rust made it into the threading and I was unable to properly assemble the rack. Instead lightly spray parts with Windex or use a Clorox wipe to clean parts before assembly. Also wear a pair of gloves while working with parts.

Was really excited to get my new closet set up. Assembly can be a little tricky however as due to the course threads in the pipe. Some pieces will thread further than others so you will have to make slight adjustments as you go. I would also recommend getting some odorless mineral spirits to wipe off all of the excess dirt and black soot found on Cast Iron Pipe. There is typically a lot. Anyway, Overall I am somewhat happy with the product I received. I did have a problem with the provided wood shelving as the pieces were too short and were basically useless. I ended up buying a couple of 1x10s at Home Depot and making my own shelves.Could be a really great product with a little more quality control ie correctly sized shelves sent.

The center sections of the base could not be put on without making the entire rack uneven and the parts don’t really seem to fit together well. The price of this rack seems a bit higher than the quality. You could get these things at the hardware store for cheaper.I ended up keeping mine because I hate the hassle of returning things, but most likely will just construct something myself instead of trying to save time.P.s. all of the parts are covered in grease, so you’ll have to scrub the whole thing down with a degreaser if you don’t want it on your clothes.

I recently moved and (my roommate and I didn't notice until after we had moved in - oops) there are no closets! But this was exactly what I was looking for - it fits perfectly in the corner of my room to give me optimal storage space without being bulky. Almost like a miniature doorless walk-in closet! It was super easy to assemble and holds a lot! Super sturdy, I'm not sure what its load capacity is but so far I've been piling on my clothes and it hasn't shown any signs of struggle. Even better, when my clothes are hanging. there's enough space at the bottom to put a couple of small boxes and my shoes. The one thing I didn't find to be super clear before ordering is that you do need to wash and treat the pipes or you WILL get grease all over everything. I would definitely recommend this though and would even buy it again!

I only gave this four stars bc I bought this in black and did not get black so I had to paint all of the pieces myself. Even after all of the trouble it still turned out to be nice. Worth the money and very sturdy. Can hold a lot of weight. But read before you buy. You will have to de-grease and clean each piece before doing anything which I didn’t pay attention to when I bought it but it was worth it. You will have to paint regardless to prevent rusting. I just used alcohol wipes to clean them.
