This beautifully boxed set of two trumpet-shaped flutes is designed for special event 'couples' toasts. At eleven inches tall they can be seen by an audience at a reception when the 'picture moment' comes. At home, be sure your storage space has shelves separated far enough to hold these!Waterford is heavy cut crystal and will appeal most to shoppers who like 'heft' in their glassware. The relatively deep cuts and the diamond pattern make the stemware easy to hold at the trumpet end. The long stem is not hollow so don't look for 'bubbles' to rise in a long, elegant trail from that far down--the trumpet itself does a good job of that. The underside of the base is cut in a multi-petal flower pattern that is plain but attractive enough. As to capacity, these grand-looking flutes do not require a large charge of Champaign to fill them; rather, the amount is the same as a much smaller flute. All that glass takes up volume! Some shoppers will prefer thin crystal stemware for Champaign, Prosecco or the like and they will find shorter stems to be better balanced and easier to store. If you don't fall into that category, buy enough of these to use at a dinner party.

Not sure how “sturdy” as they are and really didn’t want to test that parameter. Purchased as toasting flutes for bride and groom to have at their wedding, and use for any other impromptu celebration in their future. Happy looking, timeless, and beautiful.

I’m jealous, we love the design and shape more than our own Waterford champagne glasses.

I am a bride to be and bought these flutes for our wedding toast. I saw them at Macys for $140 plus tax and decided to see if amazon carried them. THEY DO! and I purchased them for only $115 without having to pay shipping or tax since they are Amazon Prime. They are very sturdy, heavy, well made crystal. Of course they're a wonderful set of flutes since they are made my Waterford. They come in a wonderful box with foam so they will not get damaged and are easy to store or wrap for a gift. I plan on getting them engraved before the wedding. They look even more gorgeous in person! Absolutely wonderful buy!

I ordered this for my wedding, where I'm the bride. This "brand new" product was being sold by PresentOfMind. The other reviews seems mostly great. My product arrived scratched. 1 glass was heavily scratched near the top portion, very visible. It was exactly like the other scratched crystal photos, so I won't bother uploading...The gift box was also dented.Yet, when I tried to return the product, the seller, PresentOfMind, informed me of a 25% restocking fee--that means I would pay over $30 so I can return this damaged item (which was advertised as "brand new"). As a bride, I have SO MANY other wedding-related things to do. Weddings are also expensive, so I couldn't afford to pay over $30 to return these crystal toasting flutes.My advice--don't order from 3rd party sellers, even if they have good seller feedback. This seller was rude to me in his/her reply--told me to "it's probably shipping dust, wipe it off". This added to my wedding-related stress. Now, we're going to use these scratched up crystal flutes (which we paid the "brand new" price for) at my wedding. I suppose it's true that most guests won't be able to see the scratches from 20 feet away. And we will make sure to tell the photographers not to take close up photos of the crystal flutes. We are also going to use the dented gift box to hold these crystal flutes. Still, when I look back at my wedding day, I'll remember it for my husband, along with being surrounded by friends and family. I won't remember it for the scratched crystal flute. But I will definitely never order from 3rd party sellers ever again.Now, I see this product is available through Amazon Prime as the seller--DEFINITELY ORDER IT IF IT'S BEING SOLD BY AMAZON!!! The crystal glasses are heavy, high quality, beautifully etched design. The gift box is lovely. Magnificent champagne glasses. My favorites!They are fragile. I wash them by bande and I broke two. It’s expensive but I will still use them. It’s a beautiful gift for a wedding. I love them. Just take good care of them.

These are MUCH taller than an avg Waterford champagne flute. Somehow I missed that in the description. The pattern is a combination of classic and "trendy/modern"VERY tall and would be difficult for a dinner table.They like them --these were a surprise to celebrate an engagement.The packaging was very LAME. The interior cardboard securing the glasses was ripped in a few places--which tells us they were returned. No cute gift box/No hinged box. The box/packaging will help the happy couple move then via car back to their home. But nothing to display re box. I am going to suggest earthquake putty to secure these to any display shelf as they are VERY tall...
