Beautiful high quality knives
I ordered 4 of the Mercer Asian collection after using my son’s Mercer knives for several years. He is a chef and recommended I look at this collection because of excellent quality, and having the basic knife styles I need in my kitchen. These knives are well balanced, have the perfect weight, and have an exceptional edge. The Santoprene handle makes them a extra easy to hold and safe in the kitchen. The Deba and Nagiri in particular are my favorites, the Santoku is lighter than other Santokus I have used, but I still like it very much. Also tried the natural wood handle and wood handle, but returned this knife as it deteriorated after using and washing once, the wood became fuzzy.I have to admit, I was also drawn to these knives because of the elegant look that is not like your basic black/ silver knife, and on this point I was very pleased. They look elegant and beautiful on display on my magnetic board in my kitchen. Overall the Asian collection with NFS handles are excellent quality, beautiful kitchen tools and I am very happy with my purchase.

My go to knife
This knife has quickly become my go to kitchen knife especially when it comes to meats. A razor sharp blade that needs zero sharpening out of the box and a rubberized grip make this my favorite daily driver.

Amazing!
For this being a little over 30 dollars you can’t go wrong! I was a bit skeptical at how good it would be and let me tell you it’s a great buy. Fresh out of the box and I was testing the blade with some paper and did fantastic. Used it to cut some beef, chicken, and veggies. Those were some clean cuts! After using it a few more times I did another paper test and still sharp!

Great addition to a Knife Collection
My son advised me to get this knife for our kitchen and we are pleased with its performance. It has a very nice heft and is nicely balanced. I'm more accustomed to western sharpened blades and found this somewhat different, but easily adapted to it. I like how sharp it is and how readily it cuts through difficult things like squashes. This is the 3rd Mercer knife we have added to our collection of mostly Cutco knives and is a good addition.

Performance vs. Price is good
I bought this knife for general use in the commercial kitchen I'm in. It's performed well... It's extremely light, yet holds an edge better than other heavier steels. I bought several of my peeps more expensive and reputable knives as gifts, but they still insist on using this one as a workhorse. Its performance versus price is astounding... I'm impressed, I must say.
