Appears well made in construction and is lined with a quilted material. Fits fairly true to size. I normally wear a large but intentionally purchased an XL for a roomier fit. If you are looking for a hat to wear in moderate cold weather and you have "outgrown" baseball caps and beanies, this is a good choice. The black plaid design works well with dressy casual and with more formal outfits. I wish the metal button logo was not attached to the back of the hat.

My spousal equivalent recently purchased a convertible sports car. I wanted to get a sportier look so I looked like I belong with a racy woman and her glimmering convertible. This cap did the trick, and for only a fraction of the price of the car (I got off easy on this one). I bought a large and it fits perfectly. There is no adjustment, so either it fits or it doesn't. The cap appears to be well made, and it looks good. It stays on my head with the top down until about 35 MPH, at which time I have to swap it out for my reliable, and less comfortable baseball cap.

it is sturdy, and substantial. Brim has a nice depth, quality construction gives the feeling of nice details. Feels less like a trendy toss away after one season accessory and more like something you could break in and wear all the time, because it looks great and is functional.

This may be a young man's hat but this old broad loves it. Have trouble finding this or any type of hat for my large head but this fills the bill. the cord fabric and dark olive color are great and it's a cute unisex look for my short hair cut. My hat purchase was an XL. The circumference of my head is 21&1/2 inches. hope this is useful info. The reviews I read here led me to this hat and to one in wool from Hats In The Bellfry. Both purchases were a success. Will buy from this vender again.

Let me start by saying "WOW!" This is a great hat with premium materials and quality. The fit is great on this. I am a true 7 3/8 with a pretty round face and I have a very hard time finding one that looks right on me. I went with a large as the Brixton website size chart calls it a 7 1/2 and it is a perfect oversize look without feeling too big. WARNING: Do not go by Amazon size chart as it is inaccurate. If you have a large head/face and are on the fence, do not hesitate and buy it! Will definitely be buying more patterns in this style. Very Peaky Blinders look to it without looking too vintage.

Let me preface this by saying I have many Brixton Brood caps, and I love them all...except the sage colored one. I received it a few weeks ago, and it has the strongest chemical smell. In hindsight, I should’ve returned it. However, I tried 1) Febrezing the heck out of it and then 2) washing it in Woolite on gentle. Neither worked. The chemical smell remained crazy strong. I’m now making a last-ditch attempt to salvage my purchase by putting it in an airtight container with baking soda for a couple days. If this doesn’t work, I will just chuck it. The smell is overwhelming and would likely give me a headache if I wore it.

This is a great hat and I just plain love it. The L size is a tad too big, and M is too tight (I declare a personal holiday every time I find a M/L size hat), however that has nothing to do with this product or quality. I am very happy I bought it -- and I will buy more for sure. I highly recommend it.

The low price of the Brixton Brood Newsboy cap confirmed my expectations of the product's foreign made quality. I ordered it knowing that the craftsmanship would be far from perfect. An eight panel cap should be centered (the seam should bisect the cap down the middle), but this one was approximately 1/2 inch off center. I also recommend a hand wash to get the wool feeling cotton to conform to your head (cold water to minimize shrinkage). I usually wear a size 7-1/4 medium, and this was a little loose; a warm water wash took the size down to fit. This cap is for the "If I'm drunk and lose it, who cares?" person; get a USA made cap for a long term keeper.

A tad small but like most hats it will stretch slightly and then it will be perfect. Good quality hat for the price. I have had better quality hats but paid 3 times more.
