The Dog Who Saved the World Paperback – January 10, 2019

like me. I love animals, really love them. Especially dogs, along with horses. I am an adult. I read this book because it was on sale from the Dollar Tree for 1.25. In the beginning the book was okay. Even tho Dr. Pretorius comes across a bit creepy by making two children test subjects and making them swear not to tell their parents or anyone. Highly illegal. I honestly don't think this is appropriate for kids to read. Allow me to continue. There's this virus going around caused by dogs so ALL dogs need to be put down...WTF! Well dogs living indoors and not allowed to go out can live. So imagine a child reading this then imagine visualizing a sweet dog playing as happy as can be then being shot dead. When I read that part I was so disgusted I stopped reading the book for almost 6 mons., only returning to it because I never leave a book I've started unfinished. IDK, I didn't hate the book but I didn't love it either and I would not gift it to any child who loves dogs. I would not want them to be subjected to a dog virus after going through C-19.

I bought for my nephew's, they enjoyed it thoroughly. They find Story is interesting and captivating.

This is a an incredibly apt story right now, in the midst of the cov19 pandemic. Picked this one up initially from my local library app to read with my daughter (8 years old), didn't finish it in time, so picked it up on kindle.Hooks you in straight away, characters are relatable and likeable, my daughter really emphased with the main character and the way it was written really played into that, the dialogue and interactions Georgia were realistic and brilliant.Level of the prose is perfect for a young reader of around 8-10, and has helped my daughter greatly to improve.Wholeheartedly recommend as a bedtime read for a young boy or girl to share with a parent, really enjoyed this one, and for fear of repeating myself, scarily accurate in times like these.
