Eizo Nanao Tech Sonnet Technologies Optical Thunderbolt Cable, 10m TCB-TB-OPT-10M

Cable works as expected, and at a much lower price than others! No difference in transfer speeds compared to the much shorter copper cable that it replaced. I bought this to separate my noisy hard drives from my work space and the long length made that a breeze. I plan to route the cable under the floor later, and I expect this to be easy given how flexible the optical cable is.

It worked for a while, but then it works for 1 minute and then stops working.I purchased other cable (same brand, same seller), and got the same issues. Use different computers, different monitors, and got the same issue. Place a different cable, boom, everything works well. Do not waste your money.

The one I bought didn't work - no link whatsoever between Mac and device, tested with two different Macs and two different devices, all of which worked with a normal copper Thunderbolt cable. I returned it and bought a Optical Cables by CorningTM AOC-MMS4CVP010M20 ThunderboltTM Optical Cables, 10 m (33'), Black, which works perfectly.However, I'm 99% certain that the Sonnet cable and the Corning cable are identical products, made in the same factory - see photo. The Corning cable is not in the photo since it was connected to my equipment, but it looked completely identical to the Corning product. So, I'm guessing that they are the same, but I got unlucky with a defective Sonnet cable. It's also possible that they're made in the same factory but the Sonnet-branded cables have worse quality control - hard to know.

Excellent Thunderbolt 2 cable. I hope they do an update soon and provide support for Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C connectors.

I use Universal Audio Apollo units and these cables are a game changer because they extend the maximum length of Thunderbolt which allowed me to base my studio on multiple Apollos with just a single Thunderbolt running between the computer and each unit. They are surprising robust as they get stepped on and rolled over in my room, and tangle up, but keep working perfectly

Works wonderfully. Extended my use of equipment with my PC between two floors on opposite sides of my house, which eliminates the need to buy two PCs to do this. Works great with a hub! Love it.

When a 3m cable worked perfectly, I tried to extend my distance with this cable...no luck!

Works reliably as expected. Own one already an both have served us well. Still the cheapest of crazy expensive cables.
