Impeccable quality, worth the extra money
I’ve wanted one of these for a while but always left it due to the price compared to some other folding saws. I’m so glad I waited an got the silky pocket boy!Small enough to not be a hassle but you can tell immediately it’s very well made (and made to last at that).Very sharp and perfect for its intended use. Exactly as described and worth the hype. I’m glad I didn’t get a cheaper option. Would recommend

Its good...
So have used lap landers for years, got given a silky big boy saw and was wowed, debated getting a pocket boy for several ages to replace/ upgrade my laplander ... if this is the situation you find your self in, get the silky, its so much smaller. its cuts super fast, the handles really comfy, and its like so compact it will fit easily in pockets and not stick out,

The business when it comes to a handy folding saw
I have used this product for years and they are "the business" You have to take care of the blade as side movement can bend or break the tip for instance in you are not careful. Generally one of the best tools I have ever used for tree/garden work and portability. Always would recommend this product over many other versions/makes/models. The blade can go blunt quickly if you are the kind of person who contacts soil all the time or are unlucky and hit wire/stone/metal.

Great little saw
Didn't think something this small would pack such a punch. Makes a great addition to my word carving tools. It can get through decent sized branches in next to no time. Really happy with the cutting power. Might have to buy the bigger size as well to get through some bigger trees

Pocket Boy does what it says; carry in the front pocket of your jeans.
Light weight, small, solidly made, excellent blade, adjustable blade angle and comfortable to grip. This saw has it all. Good for gardening, even better for camping, this saw will rip through timber of up to 4" diameter. There are better saws out there such as the Bahco Laplander but nothing beats this for compact practicality.

Very good, bit
Great for it's intended purpose, but not sure what makes this only suitable for sale only in Japan other than all writing is in Japanese. Also, according to the detailed description, this is corded electric and has an RPM of 4500?????? I don't think so unless I have missed something very obvious :)

Great purchase!
Excelent little saw. Just as viscious as the bigger ones, but in pocket size. Also comes with a very nice case

The best money can buy - period.
I am an ISA Certified Arborist and recently retired from a public garden after working there 18 years. I've used a wide variety of hand saws and I personally believe that Silky Saws are in a league of their own. I've used a variety of Silky saws - Zubat, Sugoi, Ibuki, Hayate, and of course the Pocketboy 130! - and adore them all. I strongly recommend homeowners spend the extra money and invest in the Pocketboy 130. You will not find a sharper blade or better steel. I would also recommend the medium tooth blade if you're pruning live wood for a cleaner cut, the large tooth is a little too aggressive for smaller material. And if you think this saw will be too small for pruning shrubs like azaleas, camellias, hollies and similar plants I think you'll be surprised. I've used this saw to clean branches up to 3-4" diameter. As far as durability is concerned, I once lost a Pocketboy when I crawled into a large stand of azaleas and found them over a year later when I had to go back into that same stand. The blade was corroded somewhat and I had to replace it but the handle just needed a cleaning. That is part of the beauty of Silky saws - you can replace blades without paying for a whole new saw. And if you have different needs as far as "tooth count" goes, you can buy different blades and swap them out as required, takes less than a minute. For average home use these blades will last for years IF PROPERLY CARED FOR. I recommend cleaning with Simple Green or similar product after use, using a brush to clean out the teeth followed by a light spray of Silicone before storing. A clean tool is a happy tool. Two things you need to be careful about..... The blade steel is very hard (and therefore somewhat brittle) and if you bend or twist the saw while cutting it can snap. This happened to me a couple of times over the course of many years and it only cracked the tip off and the saw was still perfectly serviceable but I had co-workers get sloppy and crack blades in half a couple of times. Second thing - WEAR A LEATHER GLOVE WHILE USING THIS SAW! Especially on the hand that's not holding the saw - It can make the difference between bleeding a little bit and going to the ER to get stitches. Silky Saws are SHARP.

Convenient and does the job
This saw's size makes it easy to slip into one's pocket without risk of injury. The saw blade is sharp and easily cuts through small tree and bush branches cleanly. I cannot speak to its durability as it is not too new to judge. I will likely purchase a model with smaller teeth on the blade for use on bamboo given my experience with this model.

Small, light and very packable
This is a great addition to your backpack or get me home bag. Very light, compact, yet high quality. Will get you all you need for a shelter or fire without excess weight. Will likely by more for gifts or other packs. 1 is none and 2 is one.

Fast and sharp!
Folding design and well shaped handle and blade angle make for fast cutting with minimum fatigue. This thing is SHARP!Keep in mind it is designed to cut on the pull stroke so even people with less arm strength can use this effectively. Lightweight folding design is great for camping.

Cuts like a hot knife through butter
I purchased this saw after checking out the reviews. It is very effective, comfortable, and easy to use. It has a slight learning curve as it cuts on the pull stroke. It cuts fast and leaves a clean cut.
