I needed ice packs for my hip bursitis. Everything I used including a pack of frozen peas, would never stay where I need it. This Magic gel is amazing. Two straps hold it in place. It is comfortable and definitely puts the cooling effect where it is needed! It says it stays cool for 22 minutes but I know it stays cool Longer.

This is an awesome product, especially for someone recovering from hip replacement surgery. Once completely frozen, the product stays cold for an exceptionally long time. The fact that you can strap it to your body means you do not need to be lying down to ice your incision area. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the velcro bands and connections tend to get twisted easily, making attaching the pad to your body a bit challenging if you are alone. I do, however, strongly recommend this product!

So this pack hits a lot of good points. My wife has been using it to strap to herself after a hip replacement. So she walks around with it on to keep swelling down. For that purpose, this is great. It's light weight, is reasonably pliable when its frozen and stays in place once you figure out the straps. The bad points, however, outweigh those good points. This pack is very thin so it doesn't retain cold very well at all. It also develops a ton of condensation on the outside, which is annoying enough that I have to give it a good wipe down before I throw it in the freezer and it still comes out with a thin layer of frost on the outside that I then have to wipe off to keep my wife from getting soaked. So overall it's fine, but I feel like this should have more gel in it, but the material itself feels pretty durable. Just doesn't stay cold for any length of time.

The best! Stays on and cold for at least 40 minutes.

This ice pack came in handy after my recent hip surgery. One downside is that I could not make it tight enough to stay up but luckily I was not walking around a lot.

I’m waiting on bilateral hip replacement surgery and have so much pain in both my hips all the time. These ice packs work great! They’re flexible and stay in place of where I need them easily! I may end up getting two more!!

stays super cold. does a great job

It’s a good size for the hip and freezes quickly - very effective. The straps are good but they are a bit short around the waist for plus size - I’m size 22 and they only just make it. Also the ‘tabs’ at the sides that the straps go through are hard plastic that can be uncomfortable if you don’t get the position right.
