Much nicer than the Audioquest Jitterbug
I have used and owned a lot of ifi products from the idefender, ipurifier, Zen Can Zen Dac and this little device is one of their best. Makes a tangible difference in sound quality when plugged into my PC and then the DAC into this tiny device, not quite sure of the magic this uses but it definitely produces a more clean signal for your DAC. I have used the Audioquest equivalent the Jitterbug (1 and 2) and this is much better and produces more noticeable results. This little device is NOT SNAKE OIL imho.

An excellent value upgrade for a USB DAC!
I bought iSilencer+ and the iPower X at the same time, thinking that the power supply would make more difference (3 amps vs 0.9 amps for the laptop USB port). But I was surprised that iSilencer+ actually made more difference, music feels muddy and slow without it. It really improved the drive and separation. The iPower X adds to these improvements, but not quite the noticeable jump that the iSilencer X gave.I’m using it with the iFi Zen DAC, iPower X PSU, Sennheiser HD660S headphones (with the balanced cable), iRiver for PC and Tidal for sources.I’ve also ordered a Supra USB cable as I need a longer cable, hopefully this adds to the improvements.

Most likely very useful, but not on my system.
I have heard this used on another system to great effect. I dont know if it is the peculiarities of my system or ive just got it pretty sorted already. With this in mind be aware that trying it out using Amazons return guarantee is the best way to go. The usb filter is very well made but a little chunky making it very difficult to access the socket next to it. In terms of listening which is all om interested on really, playing from cd ripped flacs and tidal masters from a fanless pc into an Audiolab 8200cd linked by audioquest cinnamon I found the effects of the ifi to rob my set up of a little bit of spakle and timing and it remained so after the initial run in period (this might be ears adjusting or something that happens to the electronics after a certain amount of use but to my ears I have usually found a difference) this is very much a personal taste thing and others might descibe the same differences in a positive light. The other thing I noticed is that the sound stage seemed a little more cluttered and smaller again others might descibe this as cohesive and joined up. Its a shame It didn't give me that extra .5% improvement i was hoping for but as I say its definitely worth a try especially if you have obvious background hum and noise. My amp is a Leema pulse 1 and the speakers are Leema Xones interconnect is a twisted silver old thing and speaker cable is biwired QED xt400 so not a top end set up but not from the bargain bin either.

Improved music quality streaming through a wifi dongle into a streamer
I bought this to act as a standoff for a wifi dongle going into a cambridge audio cxnv2 streamer. I wasn't thinking it would do anything much but the difference is immense, more detail in the sound and a quieter background.Really exposes bad recordings. I'm a software engineer and it doesnt make any sense to me, but there is a big audible improvement. I guess wifi on usb is very noisy. It sounded at first as though it was burning in, dielectric conforming i guess, but after 3 or 4 hours its fantastic.

Best item for a justified price to performance increase
This isn’t galvanic isolation so it won’t block all noise but it will increase bass quantity by about 10 - 15% depending on setup and headphone type.Mids and treble are cleaner because of less HF noise getting through the digital power so if you have silver cables in your system this will especially make it sound smoother because 4 - 6khz is elevated when treble is introduced due to the material properties.

Just a snake oil
If you are trying to isolate your sound interface from the rest of your system, and your graphics card is the source of those electrical interferences - this little thing won't help.I've tried so you don't have to.

Brought a slight drop in sound quality
This is one of those bits of audio kit that could have you searching and straining to hear a difference. In such a case it's always a good idea to question if the difference you think you can hear is down to your imagination or the fact that you are concentrating on the music more. I have a £12,000 hifi system, I have a playlist I have been using to test different hifi kit for many years, I know the tracks on that playlist inside out. This ifiSilencer added a little numbness to my sound, it took away a bit of sparkle and dynamics. I returned it.

May be a good addition to your HiFi system if you are streaming from a computer via USB.
The music I am streaming via my laptop's USB port to my DAC is now clean. So I can say it works. For me, it is worth the price. Changing my gears to get the same result will cost a lot more. I am an audiophile on a budget.

Surprisingly good
You don't know that you have noise on your USB port until you use one of these devices.I was very skeptical first when I ordered it, but was pleasantly surprised of the difference it made when connected between my desktop-pc and external DAC. Remember to use (good quality) proper shielded USB cables between this device and your external DAC, otherwise the effort of the device will be undone. The sound stage improved, like a veil was removed from my speakers.

Pretty remarkable for a price/performance modification in a resolving system.
Let me start by saying that I seldom write reviews, but I had to write one for this item. I am using an Allo USBridge Signature streamer feeding into a Topping D90 DAC and have been streaming via an Ethernet connection. Unfortunately due to my layout, I was using Ethernet over AC, and while I've cleaned up my AC line with filtering capacitors, there was still a good amount of noise. While Wifi is usually worse than Ethernet on some streamers from a sound quality perspective, I thought that in MY application, since I'm using Ethernet over an AC powerline, Wifi might actually be an improvement. So I ordered a Wifi USB adapter for my Allo and witnessed a tremendous improvement in sound quality from that alone. Then I thought, "What if I install the iFi Silencer ahead of the USB WiFi adapter?" Believe me, I used an exacto knife to open the box and barely touched a single thing because I was 90% sure I would be returning this. I installed the iFi into my Allo's USB port, then inserted the Wifi USB stick into the iFi and pressed play.Let me just say while I thought there was no noise before, the perceived 'noise floor' just dropped to new levels of blackness. There was an almost palpable increase in the sense of just blackness, not 'space' between the instruments, but blackness. Don't get me wrong, instrument separation was even more highlighted, but not at the expense of being disjointed. Bass texture improved the most with this device, and some of the aggression in the high notes turned a bit sweeter. IN MY CASE, and I have to emphasize this because every sound system is different, every room has its own acoustics and your sound quality starts not only at your loadcenter, but even the utility transformer. But in my case, there was a 20% increase in fidelity and sound quality. I felt like I just jumped from $300 interconnects to $1000 interconnects. It would be the equivalent of using a Hagerman FryCorder or Frybaby to burn in your IC or power cords in terms of improvement. Again, you need a highly resolving system and the results will be better the worse your interference is, but I was absolutely blown away by the improvement. It makes sense since my data is being streamed via a Wifi stick which is inherently noisy to begin with, but this iFi unit filtered out the junk and exemplified the music. It doesn't 'dampen' anything, it just brings things to a whole new level of natural detail and resolution (not digital harshness) that no other device anywhere near this price point can accomplish. I highly recommend you give it a shot, and if you don't like it just make sure to buy it from a seller with a decent return policy. You 'almost' have nothing to lose, and in the world of HiFi where DACs can go for over $10,000K, you just don't find upgrades so palpably obvious in this price range like the iFi.
