Creole Meets English: Kreglish - The Easiest Way to Learn Creole

There is nothing I don’t like about this book. As a beginner, and with several resources now available to me, I am looking forward to exploring this book’s contents and to learning to understand and to pronounce Kreyol. I might have the opportunity to interact with sponsored Haitian children and their pastor, so am looking forward to see further the relation of the two languages. Thanks to this author and thanks to Amazon.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is really helpful in learning Kreyol pronunciation, verbs and common phrases. Anyone interested in studying Kreyol in an easier, progressive way, this book is for you.

The Krenglish method is such an amazing way to get you speaking the language from day one. For new language learners, one of the biggest hurdles is pronunciation. This book is the only book I have found that helps you learn practical phrases AND perfect pronunciation.I started learning Spanish in middle school, and I am still not 100% confident in my pronunciation of certain words. My wife and I have had this book for a couple of days and my (Haitian) family is astounded by how perfect we are pronouncing the words in Creole.It is the perfect confidence boost to keep you going.

This book highlights how closely related Haitian Creole is to everyday English. There is a chart in Ch. 6 that explains the kreyol word endings compared to the English ending , this chart alone is Gold! Now I read the language so much better because I can recognize what the word is in english i.e. if an english word ends in "tion" that same word in kreyol ends with "syon" ; situation = sitiyasyon . If you can see it you can read it. A must have book.

The method used in this book is really easy in such a good way. From the beginning you feel confident in your ability to reallyyyy speak Kreyòl. This book is for anyone who needs to get an understanding of Haitian Creole quickly and speak it. I like that the author also offers creole lessons and I am very happy to have now gotten him as a tutor as well to go even further into the creole language. Get this book!

I am a full blown Haitian and I constantly mix my creole with my English with my nonspeaking English friends. I purchased this book for one of my really good friends. I am so amazed with the amount of Creole she has learned from reading this book. She went to Haiti and was able to have conversation with the locals. If you are trying to read and speak creole this is the book for you.
