Good concept, poor quality
I bought this kit with plenty of optimism that my cats could learn to use the toilet and I could get rid of the litter boxes forever. Unfortunately after 4 weeks of hell, I was forced to retire them to the trash bin and fill the litter boxes again.1) The primary reason for the poor rating is that the trays are flimsy and thin. Despite following the instructions, most of the trays cracked or split, either from my cat standing in it or from me trying to clean the clumping litter out of it daily. If you decide to give this kit a try, I recommend that you use non-clumping litter and plan to toss or flush the litter every day.2) The lower tray sat below the water line of the toilet so I had to turn off the water to the toilet to prevent the water from flooding the lower tray...then turn it on to clean or flush the litter they swept into the toilet, then reset everything by turning the water off again.3) Not necessarily the fault of the training kit, but my cats never really took to it. After the first poop on my leather chair I started locking the cats in the bathroom while I went to work. Most times I'd come home to find poop on the floor next to the toilet instead of in it.I let them roam the house when I was home and, over the course of 4 weeks I got pee in the dirty clothes hamper, pee in the washing machine, pee in the cat tree, poop in the cat tree, poop on my daughter's carpet and pee and poop on my bed 3-4 times. Ugh. (Terrible time to find out my "waterproof" mattress protector actually isn't).Yes, they used the toilet a lot as well, but only when they were locked in the bathroom. Maybe the concept would work eventually, but I don't have the energy to try anymore. And I'd definitely never try again with these flimsy weak plastic trays.

Skip the lower ring and use flushable litter
The plastic frame is a bit flimsy, I was nervous at first the cats wouldn't trust putting their weight in the litter pan to use it, but it didn't seem to be a problem. If you are a single-toilet household, I might look at a different brand that could be easier to lift out for human use. This is the only trainer I saw in my shopping that has a litter pan lower down in the bowl. This might be great if you're not using flushable litter like we were (although I'm not sure if any gets around the edges). If we had it to do over again, I'm not sure we'd use that part- because after we removed all trainer kit pieces, the cats got nervous, had a few accidents on furniture/the floor, because they're confused about the switch from litter to water. "Water is what we drink! Okay I'll drink some. Now where do I potty?" I wonder if the transition could have been easier if the water was there all along as the hole opened up.We skipped the last ring, as the toddler trainer seat came and we installed that as the next step. I don't think the narrow ring of litter would have been very visible to them, and they were fine with that switch, still scratched the litter in the pan below.Took us about two months; first effort might have been too soon after getting the kittens, and there was the first accident on furniture, so we backed up and went slow, 4-7 days between stages. The 'lock your cat in the bathroom until they go' we didn't really do- the first time we tried it, one cat became avoidant of the room for a while. Second set of accidents came after we were gone for the weekend, so maybe some anxiety of us gone/different person in the house, then the anxiety of the water switch. Fine kit, I'd try it without the lower pan if possible.ETA We've reverted to I think 2nd ring, because one cat has kept trying to go on the floor behind the toilet instead of IN it. She did fine when the litter was there, has used toilet properly once in a week since taking it out. Not sure if there's a splash back issue she doesn't like, as even with the ring replaced she has gone on the toilet SEAT once. Not sure how long we'll stay with a ring. I worry this may confuse the trained cat (ironically the one who was nervous and having accidents earlier). So, 2 months and counting, we're not fully trained yet. I will say that this stage- ring with water- is still much more convenient. Pee seems to be going straight down the middle, so we just have to flush most of the time, and even if we're here 'forever', there's no litter box on the floor, no scooping, and less litter between the toes. No regrets in the training. But seeing how much easier it could have been without using the lower pan this kit came with.

Trays are flimsy, broke when taking product out of box for first time
Just took the product out of the box for first time and tray #5 cracked! Didn't even get a chance to try it yet and I also noticed the trays were dirty and plastic was very flimsy seemed like the other trays could easily crack also . This product so far is a big disappointment and the product is cheaply built and the instructions are very poorly written, difficult to follow, and don't make sense. Whoever wrote the instructions starts out saying ..."after 3 days take small tray #1 and set it in the lower level support tray. .." Tell me what is Step 1 do this, that, and whatever else but don't start out telling me what to do after 3 days tell me what I'm supposed to do on day #1 step #1! Whoever wrote these instructions is an idiot.

Cheap material wont last a month
The material of what this made is super cheap. It came broken in one part, it probably the manufacturing cost in china is about 50 cents each. The trays came apart before my kitten was training. The idea is great but is overpriced. The manufacturer should make it a better quality since a cat takes longer than a month to train. In a few words, is TRASH.

Easy use
The questions for this item are not relevant to this product. The cat toilet trainer is easy to use but it is very flimsy maybe by design? Overall it’s doing what it’s for

Kittens are doing it! lol
I love this kitty training seat. I am so happy I found it. Quick shipping. Quality product. Thank you. Be patient, they will get used to it. I'm happy I started while they are kittens.

Did not work for my cat
Attempts to use the system were messy and annoying, involving liter going down the toilet. My cat ended up using the bathroom carpet for a liter box.
