87 degrees I used a Filson light weight wool sock and pounded a good 7 mile walk on hot asphalt today
Well guys. Just received my Danners. I am a big guy 275lbs and spend countless days Elk hunting in the mountains of Eastern Wa & Montana. Been watching some of my hunting buddies with these light shoe boots. Been reluctant to purchase as boot failure is not an option in the mountains. Here is my quick review. First time wearing them today. 87 degrees I used a Filson light weight wool sock and pounded a good 7 mile walk on hot asphalt today. Very impressed. 1. Ultra light boots, Super comfortable, and Breath well. Was impressed and believe they will make great early season mountain or Great Plains hunting boots. My only complaint is the fabric is noisiervthan leather when walking thru brush. I can't say how many years a guy will get out of them. I only say this because I can't believe how light weight they are. Bottom line if your looking for a comfortable light weight breathable early season boot I believe Danner nailed this one. Would recommend. Oh ya last thing on size. I wear a 10 to 10.5 EE. I ordered the 11 Wide. Perfect fit. Just FYI.

Great boot, a bit snug for wider width feet.
The boots fit great (for me), but as some of the other reviews state, they are a bit narrow, so if you have a wider width in shoe size than the standard "D" they will not be comfortable. I say this because my foot is borderline "EE", often spilling over more narrow shoe styles such as Converse. Even thick socks or boot socks in these boots are not recommended because it makes them too snug and quite hot (I live in SoCal). Otherwise, they are comfortable, sturdy yet flexible, and a great affordable choice in the Danner lineup.

Very comfortable
Pleasantly surprised at the comfort. I ordered a 13 wide and there is no squeeze on the sides of the foot. There is room in the toe box. The laces snug up nicely. And they stayed tied. There is nice support in the foot bed. Ankle support is nice as well. Intiallybwore about five hours. Will update if there is any failure.04/09/2019. Wore all day, mowing yard. No blisters, comfort throughout the day. They are warmer than leather . I do recommend if one has a wide foot to get the wide size. After wearing eight hours there was no binding at the ankle, the foot bed supported well. And the laces stayed tied, all day, unlike my other boots from Lacrosse and Wolverine.05/03/2029 UPDATE. I've worn these boots quite a bit. Comfortable throughout the day giving me the same foot support comfort at the end of the day as at the beginning. The boots have proved to be water proof when stepping in low places, though I didn't soak them.

Good boot, but a little hype in the toe box and "athletic last" descriptions
This feels like a really good boot, but I had to return it. The description talks about a wider toe box and athletic last. The tow box is pretty standard, squeezing the little toe. It's possible the Tachyon (military/duty-style) boot is better, but I've heard complaints there, too. Waiting for someone to make a legitimate hunting boot with a foot-shaped last.

Comfortable, Light, and Great!
Basically these are, so far anyway, exactly what I was after for a hunting boot. I live in Montana and hunt upland birds, and my last pair of Danners for some reason killed my feet. I did buy a larger size of these, which may have helped. But they are crazy comfortable, and crazy lightweight. I should add that I am not positive if they will be super durable, but I don't have time to hunt as much as I used to, so I'm sure they'll make it through a number of seasons. Plus, since they're quite cheap, not a huge deal if I have to get another pair in 5 years. But in short: highly recommended!

Not Waterproof
This boot served me well. I used it for 4 months at a zookeeping internship where I had to do lots of work mainly in the heat, rain and muck of North Carolina. These boots are decently breathable and yes my feet sweat (since I was in the blazing sun) but the sweat didn't pool as much as I've experienced in other boots. These are sturdy and can handle a working day. The padding is comfortable and the ankle support is really nice. They are definitely not steel-toed in case that's what you're looking for. These boots are in no way waterproof and should not be advertised as such. On the 1st day I wore these, a consistent drizzle began to soak through the boot. I added a waterproof spray which worked well enough for about 2 months. As soon as the spray wore off these boots would soak with almost any water.

Awesome hunting/hiking boot
I bought these boots without ever trying them on anywhere. I searched high and low in my general area at the stores that Danner products are sold so I could try them on as I tend to not buy boots or shoes without a test run. When these boots arrived April 23, 2021 I tried them on immediately for a few moments. Found that they are a bit tight and stiff, put them back in their box knowing the next 2 days they'd be worn extensively anyhow.Come Saturday morning I put them on for a small 1 - 1.5 mile walk to the local blueberry festival. After the festival I went out to go Turkey hunting and spent another 7+ miles in these boots walking through sugar sand, dense palmettos, briars, and mud. They held up great, feet remained dry. This was all done in full camo pants, shirt, hat, hunting bag with 3 Bottles of water, 1 Hydration bladder with approx. another 32oz of Water in it, 1 32oz bottle of gatorade, turkey decoys, and my bow all strapped to my back.Took them out the next Day Sunday, April 25th, on another 5-6 mile hike through scrub, marsh and so forth, feet stayed dry for the most part, until I had to cross a small creek that went above the tops of the boots, which is expected. These boots held up far better than my 5.11 Tacticals in just 2 long hikes with gear, the 5.11's did not hold up as well, they barely got worn and started tearing and falling apart. Now that Turkey season is over here, I will put these boots up until Deer season in Sept. All in all, if you're looking for a good boot, I would recommend these hands down!

Great Quality
Danner makes a seriously good boot. Although my husband and I don't hunt, we use them for hiking, camping, even yard work. Great ankle support and light as air. I didn't even have to break mine in.

Runs small
Got it yesterday, nice sturdy boot. Ordered 10.5 D (my normal boot size) Had to return it because it was too small. Reordered 11.5 E. Can’t wait to get the new pair.
