I miss this product
Love using this in between my hair color treatment. Sad it's no longer made. Was a great product.

A gloss that’s not going to affect your color.
First thing to know is this product isn’t really doing anything to your hair color. That was my fear. It’s a gloss period. That’s all. But because they sell variations based on hair color I got scared to use it. Listen, If you have nice straight hair the silky level in these photos may not impress you. But I have old lady’s curly, kinky hair. I’m a brunette (I’m a natural 4N but have been coloring my hair for years with the base at a 7N) but, previous to COVID, had highlights put in (8N) to allow my greys to blend into the blonde. Now every 2-3 weeks I DIY my own touch ups at home. I prefer Naturtint, Herbatint or Clairol. But this is ALL besides the point. THIS product doesn’t really do anything with your color as far as I can see. I’m a natural 4N, but have been a processed 7N for years and with all the home touch ups, now I look like a blonde. It doesn’t seem to make any difference with this product. I was fine with it if it enhanced some of the brunette undertones and I guess it did very very very subtly. It was the reason I got the one for cool brunettes. It’s got other varieties for warm brunettes or blondes. That’s what threw me. Why was it mentioning my hair color if it’s just a gloss. Why should it matter? I was afraid it would affect my hair color or change my color. I read reviews and looked at pictures for months. But my dried out frizzy hair drove me to be bold and try it. Well I did it in a big way. On the same day I did my 8N touch up I rinsed out the color, put in my normal conditioners and on top if them, right in my hair I put this gloss. It comes out Expresso brown. Immediately my hair felt silkier. Afterwards I see I had nothing to fear. It didn’t change my color. It may have brought back some of the liveliness in my color that had become like a washed out beach blonde. But remember I was putting in 8N color around my face and hairline and crown to cover the greys and then using THIS cool brunette gloss and it didn’t stop or affect that process. (Now I have to set my hair in curlers, dry it under a bonnet, then use a flat iron to straighten my curly hair but it’ll hold that way til my next washing a week from now.) But the level of silky, for me, is magnificent. I’m so happy. I recommend it.

Not bad at all.
I've been hesitating to buy this product for a long time because of the mixed reviews, but I'm not entirely disappointed. I bought Cool Brunette since I wanted to darken and reduce the orange/red brassiness of my hair. I previously dyed my hair brown about 6 months ago and it faded a lot. I didn't want to dye my hair with permanent color, so I finally bought this to try it out. When I first received the product, it smelled like strong hair dye. I'm not a fan of the scent. You can even smell it through the packaging when you receive it. The product itself is a jelly-like texture and the color of this product had a tint of purple. (Which makes sense because cool tone colors such as purple/blue reduces red and orange tones).I tried using it the first day after my shower, but I guess I didn't apply enough and I barely noticed a difference. On the second day, I applied a generous amount where it completely saturated my hair, and then I noticed that my hair was darker and less brassy. And since this is hair gloss, it definitely made my hair feel a lot smoother. These are my steps on how I applied the product:1) Shampoo and rinse2) Squeezed out all the water from my hair3) Applied a generous amount of the hair gloss to my hair and left it in for at least 10 minutes rather than 3 minutes.4) Applied conditioner to my hair5) Rinse.

Tones down brassy hair
My highlights came out very brassy from my stylist and I used this gloss to tone down the highlights. It doesn’t last for very long though, you really have to do it every week as the directions state. But the cool brunette definitely toned down my brassy blonde. I am a natural medium brown but I have my hair highlighted honey blonde. I left it on for 30 minutes. If you leave it on for five minutes like the direction state it does not really do much of anything. So I left it on longer the second time. It really does not color your hair or grays if that is what your looking for, it’s a true color wash/gloss and it just adds a nice tone to it. The thing I like the most is that it does not damage your hair. If you’re looking for something to tone down the brassiness on your hair, this does work! I only wash my hair every other day so it lasted about a week. I guess that would be my only complaint is that it is time consuming and then it only lasts a week. I do wish it lasts a little bit longer. The other thing that I liked about it is that it did not cover my highlights, just toned the color down, so my hair still looked highlighted, again it’s not a color but a true color gloss. Overall I was very impressed.

Great product! Please bring it back!
I have purchased this many times - it does such a great job of subtly refreshing my color at home. It’s affordable, easy to use and leaves my hair softer, shinier and with a subtly improved color. It doesn’t make a HUGE difference in color, but enough that I notice it and my hair looks more vibrant and healthy to other (even if they don’t notice a color “change” - which is what I want!). It definitely makes it look better! I did stop using it during the pandemic (I wasn’t going anywhere, so I stopped wearing make up, bothering with my hair, etc.) and now I can’t find it anywhere and I am distraught. I haven’t been able to find another product that works like this. I don’t want to full on dye my hair at home and I don’t want to dye it pink or blue. I just want to subtly enhance and revive my hair color in between salon visits. This product did that and made my hair feel nice as well! I have naturally dark blonde hair and this added beautiful honey tones.

Mal Producto
No funciona, 2 puestas y mi cabello queda igual... Lo compré para matizar mechas rubias, gran decepción no lo volvería a comprar

Retroalimentación
Como el spray de esta marca me dejó la raíz naranja, me dio miedo probar este producto y lo terminé tirando.
