An absolute fantastic cd!
An absolutely beautiful album. This compilation is the ultimate starter pack for newcomers. Itβs also just a fantastic compilation for any and every fan! This isnβt a βbest ofβ album, but more of an album on its own. The album kinda tells a story with the track listing. The is my absolute favorite album from the Nick Drake estate, and I own all three records.

Amazing beautiful music
I have heard the name for years. I am a singer songwriter and have been told by players to check Nick out. It took me too long to take the advise. But I am so glad I did. This CD does serve as a nice intro to an artist who is very rare in today's age. In '69 this music was perhaps more appreciated. Artists like Joni Mitchell and Dylan were loved and respected by many people. Today, well times are a bit different. Try this disc. I love Nicks music now and am buying more.

Hauntingly beautiful
Never knew about him when he was alive. What a loss for all. Such deep thoughts via his lyrics and his ability to vocalize them as well.

Awesome. Full of whimsical LYRICS and awesome musicianship!
I love this album! It's one of my favorite road trip runs. It's mellow, so it provides a good break from all the loud stuff.

One of my favorite heavy mood disc
A complete copulation of a lost treasure. Singer, songwriter and guitar player who seems to put it all out there for us to glimpse the quintessential artist working through his / our struggle with....life. The musical landscape is yet to be equaled. One of my favorite mood disc, happy, sad , lonely & wrapped up in my favorite blanket all at once.

Drakes legacy lives on
Nick Drake in his short life only made 3 albums which were critically acclaimed but sold very few copies to the record buying public. His music was discovered after his sad death as more and more of us got tuned into his songs . I was spellbound when I first heard his cds and went out and bought the lot and have been playing them ever since and all the compilations and re-mastered versions .Anyone out there not into Nick Drake try this one out its a good introduction for you , buy it play it enjoy it .

My first Nick Drake Album
HiThis is a truly fantastic album. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and already have bought it for someone else. I found the style a little unusual to begin with but once I got used to that I could really start appreciating the album. Fruit Tree or Black Eye Dog are two examples where at first they take a few listens to and then there's so much to them.I would strongly recommend this to anyone who likes this type of music. After Christmas if I haven't been bought anymore Nick Drake albums I will be buying them for myself :o)

This is a brilliant introduction to Nick Drake's work and spans his (far too short) recording career. Impossible to categorize, these songs are timeless works of genius. Gentle, beautiful, uplifting and utterly indispensable.
