Exactly what I wanted!
I loved that this had a bigger cubby than normal cat trees, my girl will enjoy fitting in there to lay in there. It seems sturdy enough, but the top layer seems a little bit flimsy. Weβll see how it holds up but Iβm very happy with this purchase.

Majestic Pet 52-Inch Casita Fur for Cats ...
This cat tree a/k/a Casita Fur for Cats arrived today. Good price, all pieces intact. I put it together and set it up only to the 40" [3rd] level as the level of 52" is not sufficiently sturdy nor safe -- especially if one is planning to use it at a window [with my super kitty of 6 months of age, 9 muscular pounds!]. Seems nice enough, however. My kitty immediately jumped into the house for a bit and then, playing super kitty ran and jumped and learned that this tree does support his antics of running and jumping to the top level successfully [40"]! It simply does not allow for the friction needed for soft pads and nails....that which his old tree provide with real carpet...The faux fur is too slippery even at the 40" level. He is working on how to achieve this feat, however!Four stars because: 1. the quality of the faux fur is not "rough" enough for his claws and pads so he cannot access the top level without falling 2. tree is not sturdy at the 52" level but is fine at 40" ; really should have had two poles to balance the top level of 52"-- and, 3. carpet would have been better than faux fur.

Great bargain for small cats (needs some hacks)
I was looking for a tall, affordable cat tree, and this one stood out as the best for the price. Here's some things you should know before purchasing:1. This tree is best for small cats. Our cat is roughly 8 pounds and loves the top two shelves of this thing (not so much a fan of the condo). However, even our small cat is liable to tip this thing over. We worked around this by placing two 10-pound hand weights at the base. If your cat is heavier or you do not feel like providing your own counterweight, do not get this cat tree.2. It's difficult, but not impossible to build. It took my boyfriend about 45 minutes to put it together with just a little swearing and a little help holding things from me. I'm spatially challenged and probably could not have done it alone, but as long as you have at least one competent person around, you should be fine.3. Your cat will break the toy on the string. It took about 3 weeks, but our cat finally got the toy off. It's Styrofoam inside. Nonetheless, the toy is a pretty cool feature, and we were able to attach another toy to the string and she still loves it.This definitely isn't a top-of-the-line piece of equipment, but it certainly is a bargain worth considering.

A great cat toy my monsters love
My cats love this. A lot of the other huge cat scratchers I looked at were exceptionally busy, but my cats and I like this because the platforms have space for cats to sit and roll around. The directions leave a little something to be desired, but they got the idea across. Even though I managed to get it together without too much trouble, that's where it became a four-star instead of five-star experience. One of the levels has a mouse hanging from an elastic string. The string is the perfect length that a cat on the level above it can pull the mouse up to itself, but not rest it on the platform, which kept my cats busy constantly trying to put it in front of them. Unfortunately, it worked a little too well and my cats had removed it within 12 hours of introducing the structure to the house. I can't really fault the manufacturer, you can only attach a tiny plastic item to a tiny elastic thread with so much force.

My cats love this.
My cats love this! I have a year old and a new 8 week old kitten. They both love to climb and play and this entertains them both. I took off one star because when I purchased mine there was only a measurement for the overall height of 52 inches. While this is accurate, there were no measurements for the posts which are too short for my one year old to stretch and scratch. Had I known that, I would not have purchased this product, but would have purchased something larger.Previous reviews are correct. The instructions are not clear, but by trial and error, it was finally assembled by looking at the picture online.**edit updateAs a kitten, this is a great toy providing fun and exercise. But as they have grown I find that there isn't enough weight on the base to keep it upright as they climb and play on it. I've had to add a concrete block to keep it upright during play as they chase each other.

The PHOTO doesn't match the PRODUCT! :(
I ordered one pictured for the three level and it had the scoop type lounging areas but this one has a little house on the bottom. Just as others have noted there are metal things sticking up on the inside and my cat used the house before I attached it and now she doesn't. She's clumsy so really isn't attracted to the top shelf, it's a corner unit and it has to be put into the corner just right. If she doesn't start using it soon I will have to sell it somehow. The sheepy material is attractive to her. Maybe it's just that I haven't kept it in one place long enough. She's probably about ten pounds and she does fit into the house and has sat on top of it but those poles in the way she won't do that any more. Maybe I'll disassemble it and leave it in pieces and she'll be more attracted to it. Heh. Hm! They only reason I didn't send it back is because I didn't feel like taking it back apart. The reason I wanted that shorter one with the scoop type features is because my cat does not land on her feet, she's a clumsy poop and never ever tried to climb a tree.

What more could a cat want
Great little cat tree, no idea how its so cheap on amazon as something similar was no less than 3 to 4 times the price anywhere else. My cat was very weary of it for the first few days but now he uses it everyday to get up to his favorite spot on top of the shelf. He's scratches the sisal and carpet up like crazy and it still looks new, granted its only been about two weeks. I wasn't sure if it would be sturdy since its a square base but its perfect in a corner. Instructions suck but putting it together is very straight forward. My cat doesn't like the hidey hole but he doesn't like hidey holes in general, he prefers hiding under the bed or sofa.

The cat loves it and so do we!
I'm not sure why other reviewers mentioned how difficult this item was to put together because, even without any directions included, it was pretty obvious to us how it went together, just by following the printed diagram. The kitten loves it and usually takes her afternoon nap on the middle shelf. She's used the little cubbyhole but not as much as I thought she would. She loves the dangling mouse and, even with the vicious attacks she's waged on it over and over, it's still attached. It's sturdy and it's nice enough that we have it in our living room. Great buy!
