Great substitute
For the money, these work great. No different than the Southwire or Greenlee brands but half the cost.

Equal to mainstream brands.
This style of wire stripper is a common design, a lot of people use the one made by Klein that has the same mold. This includes screw cutters for 6/32 and 8/32 screws. This style is also copied by companies like harbor freight, southwire there's a bunch of other cheap versions. I've been an electrician since 1984, so like most electricians I buy good quality stuff but every now and then we'll try to save a buck on things like wire strippers. So because I use screw cutter sometimes I always like this type. I bought a few of the knockoffs of this design, the inexpensive red handle harbor freight version, that version the handles came off and they got dull very quickly. I bought the southwire version, but again it seems to be made of thinner metal. Every now and then we are forced to have to work in hot situations on service calls (some guys will lie and say they never do this but you're going to be put in a position to do it sometime if you're an electrician for any given amount of time) so the Southwest strippers if they're just barely hit they are pretty much gone or they're going to be out of alignment because of the thinness of the metal. The best version I found wasnt Klein wasvthe old Greenlee version of the exact same strippers, but I don't think they make those anymore. They had sort of a black coating on them like these (Capri) do. So I decided to give these a try. They've held up well- even had an accident with them and it didn't fuse the metal together. I've used them for enough jobs to know now that they're going to hold their sharpness in the same way the more expensive Klein tool model does. These are about 10 to $12 cheaper than the premium strippers in there pretty much the same quality you're going to get out of a Klein tool. If the screw cutters work on these things and you're still stripping wire sharply and if you get a little bump on them with the hot wire and they're still open and closing just fine that's pretty much the best you can expect. I did a little research on the company and found out they make automotive tools which I wasn't familiar with and saw some good reviews on those so maybe they're using better metal or better quality coatings than some of the other inexpensive companies. Anyway if you have a Amazon prime account and you're not paying a lot of shipping or your ordering some other stuff it's worth the savings. I'm thinking about buying a back up pair because these have had the kind of quality I need. I regularly don't buy a lot of cheap tools I usually have premium brands and brands from Germany or wherever I think I'm going to get the best tool, these are one of the items I don't think I'm losing any quality by paying less money. Anyway hope that helps somebody who is trying to save a little bit money on tools.

For very thin wires
These aren’t for electric. The cut outs are for fine wires so even 10/3 is too thick.

So-so
I've used these quite a bit over the past few months, and I can say they are plenty good for the price, but too often they just don't cut the insulation well and I have to make a few passes. If I use my Kleins it's done in one shot. For me, the extra $10 is worth it for the Kleins. But don't get me wrong, these do get the job done.

Wire stripper
These have American wire gauge sized cut outs, so you have to use trial and error to find the correct size for metric cable sizes. Apart from that they are very well made and sharp. They also have very good jaws for bending wire over.

This is the best stripper I've seen since the last time I've went to the Gentleman's Lounge!!!! BUY THIS CONFIDENTLY!!!!!
Beautiful Professional wire stipper made by Capri. Im very impressed with this tool & might I add its very effective & cuts and strips wire like a hot sharp knife through butter. Though this item does not remove its clothes lol, it removes wire casing better then any STRIPPER I've ever seen. This will definetly be the best tool for this use as of now in my tool bag...and my tool bag is extensive.

Probably the best cutters i have personally used.
I do a lot of wiring repairs at work as i constantly am repairing broken wires and splicing in new wires. I own a cheap pair that can barley cut 22 gauge wiring so after so much frustration i new it was time to purchase a good pair. I thought for the price can these really be good? I read the reviews and all seemed positive so decided to give them a try and wow what a purchase i can say. This has changed wiring for myself, i have automatic wire strippers but none to a good of a job as these. These shape the path for electrical and couldn't resist to say it was the best $16 i have spent in a while. These are fantastic and very sharp wire strippers as one small tug and cleanly strips the wire off the end. Especially like the cutter at the opening of the V for good leverage. Couple of other nice features are spring loaded opening, and a clip to keep them closed when in tool bag or box. These cut extremely well and have to the best cutters i have used it a while. The price makes it a worth while purchase and would recommend these to anyone looking to add them to their collection.
