ICQUANZXDC Brush Motor Speed Controller DC10-55V Forward Reverse with Digital Display&Fan Inside 40A-60A

This came in early and works well with our system.
Because this is early I'm only giving it 4 stars. We connected it to the power system and had to wait for a new motor. We received the motor connected it to the power connections from this controller. The motor is not connected yet, and chain/shaft sprocket haven't arrived yet.Because of the above, we've only tested the power, and controller functions, not the complete system under load. Regardless, when we turned on the controller and used the dial to control the speed it worked. We tried reverse, and that worked as well.I'll update the stars and this review after I know how it works with the rest of the system, and under load.

Good low power source
I use this to power a 12 volt very small model railroad portable switching layout. It provides smooth low speed control. My only problem was putting the cover on it.To remove the cover, you have to unplug both the speed controller and the volt read-out. To replace the cover, I had to bend the contact leads on the speed controller and trim off some casting spruces on the inside of the cover. It then slid right on. I recommend it

Worthless junk.
I originally ordered 4 of these controllers, two of which didn't have fans, so I requested replacements, which I got. All together now I have 7 of these controllers, none of which work correctly. I could have gotten a refund on all of them if I had a chance to test them before now and had known that the ones with fans are bad as well. I set up a test using a 450W 25VDC brushed motor and two 12 volt batteries wired in series. I tested the two without fans and they work correctly, but the 5 with fans don't. The two without fans can be controlled by the "throttle" pot with the fwd/rev switch in either forward or reverse position. The ones with fans won't operate unless you turn on power with the fwd/rev switch in neutral. You then have to preset your speed with the "throttle" pot and use the fwd/rev switch to operate, which is less than ideal. If you apply power with the fwd/rev switch in forward or reverse mode, nothing happens. No fans, no motor running, nothing but LEDs turn on. Then, if you turn the power off, put the fwd/rev switch in neutral, then connect the batteries, the fan immediately starts running, and then you can select fwd or rev, then you can control the speed of the motor. If you disconnect the batteries or turn the controller off with the "throttle pot", and then turn it back on, it won't operate until you turn it back off and select the neutral position, and start all over.

It has a fan to protect it from the heat.
The media could not be loaded. I was going to make one similar to this but When I saw this item, I got it right away, saved me sometime. It’s very good. Mine was very accurate as far as voltage and amp goes. The cover had a crack in the back of it but it’s not a big deal for me. Overall I like it. I use this to run my dc motors for small projects.

It worked!
This PWM speed controller worked great on a mobility scooter motor to drive a bead roller. had tried two other PWM speed controllers, both had failed. I also liked the ability to mount the speed controller and reverse switch in the case. Makes a nice package.

Bought it for the heater blower in the car
I actually have bought 2, one a few years ago. I ended up not using the second one I bought yet. I used it to power a blower motor in in the car, the original I bought a few years ago still working.

Easy to setup, works great!
I used this to turn down a 40V Ryobi battery from my lawnmower to power my kids power wheels. The power wheels was a 6V lead acid battery.... slow and boring. Running it at 12V now and the kids are having a blast.

Works.
Serves its purpose. Gets pretty warm running two 12v motors. Wouldnt recommend using it near it's max.
